Hey gang...first post!

I thought I was the only one that had this problem! I got dropped down to $3,500 about 9 months ago. I'm OVER-paying the bill on a weekly basis these days. Spend a consistant $30K a month now...and when I called last week, they said "Sorry...we'll tell you when we can lift the limit." This is on a Plat Business card...absurd.

Anyways...I'm just saying "I'm here with you bro."

Has Amex ever offered anyone some sort of compensation to stay with them instead of canceling? Especially for Platinium card holders? In the past, I have heard of their CSR's offering 10k points, a minimal statement credit etc... Are they still doing this or no more?

Thanks

I don't think customer retention is real huge on Amex's list right now. They seem to have been and continue to be in damage control mode trying to shed cardmembers they marketed "credit"-type cards to . I've had time to think since my last post and find Amex to be the best card, that's why I have 5 of them. After my successful F/R in late 4/09 my total spend/pay since has been $318k, would they offer me points to stay? I highly doubt it
