Centurion assistance in Japan - call US or local concierge?
I'm in Tokyo right now and would like to see if the Centurion concierge can get our group a table at the Joel Robuchon restaurant for his 16 course tasting menu. Am I better off calling collect to the US concierge or obtaining the Japanese Centurion information to go through them?
Does anybody else have any experience with this?

I'd call your home concierge in the US and they can liaise. Alternatively your hotel concierge would probably also sort that out comfortably. I'm an Australian member and I always do the same, calling the home concierge whether I'm in the US, or Asia etc.

This was actually discussed recently in the Concierge thread.

Centurion members may avail of the Japan Centurion Concierge. They are very courteous and efficient. US Centurion Concierge should learn with them how to handle requests.
For reservations in Japan this is the way to go as being natives and understanding the intricacies of helping a foreigner through the language barriers.
