Be on the look out for Starwood Amex "Summer Promo" Mailer

I got a mailer from AMEX for my Starwood Card. No Promo code not sure if it is open to everyone or it is a targeted promo.

Spend anywhere between 8-15-07 and 9-15-07 and get the following bonus depending on the amount you spend.

$500-1000 = 25% bonus points
$1k-5k = 50% bonus points
$5k-10k = 75% bonus points
$10k-20k = 100% bonus points
$20k + = 200% bonus points.

Bonus in addition to normal earned points and SPG Bonus.

I wish they had started this earlier, I have spent a lot over the past couple months.

Although it is only for a short period of time, that is potentially a very lucrative offer if it has no caps. Just as a data point, do you mind indicating how long you've had the card and what your recent monthly spend has been?

The only mailer I received was to sign others up for the SPG AMEX card to receive bonus points... alas, all my family/friends doesn't want anymore credit cards...

I have had the card for like 5-6 years. I dont use it very often as I do most of charges via my Centurion card. I had no usage on the card in 2 months. I also got the promo over Xmas which had max 7500 point bonus if you spend $5k which was last time I had a bill over $500 on this card. I use this card just keep my SPG points from expiring as I have over 300K SPG points. I only use these points when I can not redem via membership rewards partners or AA miles awards I want as I mainly accure points via my centurion and Citi AA card as I have over 2 million miles in each program and accure about 500k points a year in thoses programs.

No mention of a cap at all either.
