If you have more than one USA issued American Express credit card linked to the same online User ID, you can use a website tool to reallocate the credit line between the accounts:
Go to http://americanexpress.com
LOGIN
Click: See all Account Services
Choose a credit card (if prompted)
Click: Credit Management

To view merchant classification
Some American Express cards and promotions offer higher rewards for transactions with specific merchant classifications. American Express does not determine the classifications. You can see how a particular merchant is classified after the transaction is posted to your USA account:
Go to http://americanexpress.com LOGIN
Select the appropriate card (if you have more than one)
Click Recent Activity -or- Online Statement
Click [+] to display details of a specific transaction
Click More Detail
In Transaction Details window look at Merchant Type:
I'm currently in a double points promotion with my Amex Biz Plat for supply purchases. I purchased some supplies recently from a supplier who had a merchant classification as "dentist"! I'm a dentist and what I actually purchased were supplies, not services. So I emailed Amex (through the secure message center when I log in to view my accounts) and asked if they could give me double points on that purchase since I did purchase supplies, despite the merchant being erroneously classified as "dentist". I'm happy to say Amex responded about 12 hours later and gave me double points for the purchase! The Amex rep who wrote me back said they cannot change the merchant classification, but were able to give me the extra points.
So when any of you are enrolled in a promotion on your Amex cards, make sure to view the classifications of your merchants and make sure you get the right amount of points!
Yes, to make sure I was not going off a bad memory I checked on the AX website MR calculator to verify the exchange rate (not as good as the 2-1 through HA but better than 1-1)

You can still get a 2:1 payback from MR to Hilton Honors, but you need some middlemen.
Transfer 5,000 MR to Continental. Then transfer 5,000 Continental to Amtrak. Then transfer 5,000 Amtrak to Hilton at 1:2.
Amtrak limits transfers out to 25,000 Amtrak points per year.

Unconfirmed requirements for UK Centurion:
£120,000 a year spend for 3 years, on the Platinum Card. My impression from the CSR was that they didn't look at spend on other cards, eg BA Amex, or any business cards where you are the primary card holder. If you hold a private bank account at some banks, eg Coutts they will consider Centurion for you. However, no invitations being sent out at the moment anyway.
Centurion refresh will follow much like the IDC and IEC cards and is planned before Q1, 2008.
i seem to be having some issues with the french amadeus site that i had with the other sites. i hope that doesnt mean the french site will go down as well.

Mr. Lau, Trying to book at hotel through the GB site right now. When I try to sign in, I use my regulare Amex sign in credentials and they are not accepted. Did you have to "sign in' to the site in order to book?
