Diner's Club is the card to use

I am sticking with my DC for car rentals. They covered me 2 years ago when I caused a head on collision in England - the car was totaled. They paid the entire $14K in damages and it didn't cost me a penny, and it didn't get reported to my insurance company. If you rent cars with any regularity, it would be worth considering a Diners Club card for this alone. They also participate in the iDine program with cash back, so for those paying the DC fee, they could get it back dining out. I get my fee waived because I have a citigold account at citibank.
