Also check Delta.com: Sometimes better offers might be available there.

The Amex referral page has a 60K offer for the Delta Personal card.

The following offers for up to 70K on personal and business:

https://www.delta.com/content/www/en....html#Platinum

https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...83-GAG4:0001#/

valid through 04/11/2018

There are several 60, 000 miles offers for the personal card with the first year annual fee waived the first year, valid through May 1, 2019. They are listed in this referral thread. These are way better than the current standard public offer of 30,000 miles shown on Delta's website

Delta Amex Gold personal card: 50k+10k miles + $50 statement credit, $2,000 spend, $95 annual fee waived the first year

https://www262.americanexpress.com/business-card-application/flexapp/platinum-delta-skymiles-business-credit-card

If you are current Delta Platinum AMEX cardholder, you might be eligible for 10K referral offer. New cardmember bonus is 70K.

Gold Personal:
"Earn 60,000 bonus miles after you make $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and $1000 more w/in 6 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months."

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight. [Did [b]not work when I booked a flt today, 3/15/17.]

Note: Review the recent discussion in the thread about various other ways to try to locate offers as high as 50k+$50 credit.

Getting the statement credit:
MrMoonlight successfully purchased a Delta ecert (essentially a gift card) and received the statement credit. See this post..
Jacobsta811 also received $50 credit for $50 e-cert on both gold business and gold personal cards.
muji received $100 credit for $50 eCert on Delta Platinum card
sdsearch received $100 credit for $50 eCert on business Platinum card (see this post).
vah4883 received $100 credit for $5.6 tax on Platinum card
philemer received $100 credit for buying a box lunch on board

My wife and I both have the DL AMEX Plats. Will likely be cancelling at least one when the af hits, barring a massive push by DL to win over fans in SEA / PacNW in the next few months. Might be time to pull the SPG AMEX out of the sock drawer, too.

No where in the term that says you have to buy the tickets with the card.

I took both Gold and Biz Platinum out for the bonuses, and normally don't try and get any of the fee back on cards I take out, but this seems like a different case.

I will definitely cancel one. of the two in protest and let them know. Probably both as I can get some fee back from the Biz Plat, and the Gold doesn't have many benefits for low spenders.
How are you going to let Delta know that you cancelled an Amex card in protest?

You're mad at Delta (for copying United?) but you want to cancel an Amex card. Just because it's a Delta card from Amex, you trying to explain to a clueless (about miles charts) Amex agent about why you cancelled the card will fall on deaf ears, and definitely won't be passed on to Delta. So how is that useful protest?

You need to stop giving $$$$$ a year to Delta, that's the only way to effectively protest. Wait, you haven't been paying $$$$$ a year to Delta, you've only been using miles? In that case, they probably are glad to have you gone anyway.

Ie, you can certainly cancel the Delta Amex card if you wish, and you can think of it as a protest in your own mind, but I doubt it's going to register as a protest with Delta.

OTOH, you could start a Twitter campaign (whether you cancel the card or not!) to "# deleteDelta" or whatever, and that might be a somewhat more effective protest if it catches on.

But again, this latest change is just a copy of a United policy, so why aren't you protesting United for having started something that Delta can now copy?

That's why I'm having a hard time getting upset at this particular Delta change (compared to others they've done in the past). They were the first to get rid of award charts, but they're just copying United if they started charging more miles for partner-only redemptions.

You need even more miles, but Skymiles credit cards are not the best way to earn Skymiles (aside from new account bonuses). It's better to use cards which earn 1.3, 2, 3, or 5 Membership Rewards points per dollar and transfer to DL (or another program) only when an award ticket is available for your specific flights. The value of the Skymiles cards is in the benefits, not the rewards.

Almost applied for the card on Friday for 35K. With 60k now offered, procrastination once again pays.

FYI - The wiki on the 2013-2016 thread shows the links for the higher mileage offer but not the wiki for this thread.

I see it is for 60k after 4k spend. Have you seen the 60k for 1k spend that appeared last year? If not, I will apply for this one too.

Thumbs up 70k offer for Delta Platinum card (personal & business)

There's a 70k offer but AFAIK only on the Delta Platinum cards, not the regular Delta cards:

The 60k for 1k is a targeted offer right now only.

Yes that is still true. I just found out about how you can upgrade your PM Delta Am Ex to a reserve and get an additional 30K Mqm if you can make the spend. I called Am Ex and was told I was ineligible for the sign up bonus since I was upgrading the card. I had an $18K charge coming up in two days and another $10K charge the next week that I didn't want to risk losing out on the spend on so I just had the plat upgraded. When I am close to meeting the $60K spend on my personal reserve I am going to try applying for a business reserve instead of upgrading the personal if there is a good promo.

From what Am Ex told me I can't get the reserve sign up bonus on a personal card now that I hold the card even if I downgrade it back to a plat since I already held that card The sign up bonus would have been nice but I value the 15K MQMs more.

Just applied and got the pending further review - it said it could take up to 14 days. Can't find any info in regards to if I should I try and recon or just wait?

Questions about AmEx Delta platinum business card:

1. Can the annual main-cabin companion certificate be used on open jaw (for example, LAX - RDU - DCA - LAX, or LAX-JFK-BOS-LAX)??

2. Can Medallion regional upgrade certificate be used on flights booked using AmEx annual main-cabin companion certificate?

1. No. Round trip only.

2. Not sure but think so. Until recently no upgrades were possible on those tickets but now regular complimentary upgrades are so I assume RUCs are too.

You probably already realize but just in case you don't (since it sounds like you're making some plans to use the companion certificates already)--you don't get your first companion certificate until you've had the card for a year already.

Question How good is the Delta 60,000 miles Award

I am not a Frequent Flyer so I am not interested in the 70,000 mile American Express award after spending 4K in 3 months but the 60,000 Mile award for spending 3K in 3 months does interest me. I just do not need to MQM portion nor do I want to spend $195 a year for the 70K Delta award through Amex.

So how good is the 60,000 Mile Award relatively speaking for someone who rarely flies compared to what Delta/Amex has offered in the past? Is it worth considering to get a good chunk of miles? Also Is there an expiration date on those miles?

Since I rarely fly, it looks attractive to me as a good way to get a chunk of miles knowing I have to spend about $3K in about 3 months.

Theoretically Delta miles don't expire. Though if you go way too long (multiple years) without activity, perhaps you account could be closed? (I dunno for sure.)

As to how useful 60k Delta miles would be:

It totally depends on what you want to use it for. If you want a round trip in business class overseas, it's less than half of what you need. If you want a domestic round trip in coach, on some routes on some days it might be much more than enough (maybe even good for two such trips?).

Delta has a "variable" award cost, so it's really hard to predict how many miles exactly you'll need for a particular trip until you go to book it. So I don't know if it's a good airline to earn 60k miles in and then call it quits and then wonder what to do with it. (But then, I don't know if any other airline is like that either. I accumulate way more miles in each of the major US airlines than I need at the moment, so that I'll always have at least enough for one longhaul business class international trip in each one, given that I don't know before I go to book which one will have availability and/or which one will have the best routings and/or which one will have the best cost in miles and/or co-pay cash.
