Amex gold card question
Sorry if this in a Wiki somewhere but a little confused about my AMEX Gold Card.
I have had an AMEX card since 1975, Years ago before they offered miles I upgraded to a Gold Card "Rewards Plus". My question is there any difference between this card and the " Premium Gold Rewards Card?
Currently there is a 25,000 points offer on this card? Am I eligible to to this offer even though I have the AMEX Gold rewards plus?
Finally I am retired but doing some part time consulting, no LLC or ID # would I still qualify got the Gold Business Card?
Thanks for your help!!

Premier Rewards Gold replaced Rewards Gold Plus in 2009. You can skim the original thread (link below) to understand the differences, and then a more recent thread to understand the forthcoming changes. Holding Rewards Gold Plus should not interfere with your ability to receive a new account bonus, because Premier Rewards Gold is a different product, but 25,000 points is mediocre. I would search for a larger one -or- wait until the refreshed card is launched when they are likely to promote it.

American Express does not particularly care if your business is "real". You are the applicant, not your company.
