I have checked and the locations the $100 credit can be used at are Fix, Olives, Jasmin, Michael Mina, The Buffet, Caffe Belligo and Sensi."
Has anyone successfully used their credit at Olives? I just checked in and was told pretty definitively that Olives was not allowed. While not a big deal for this booking I was hoping to use it next week and already made a reservation...

Bellagio Feb 2015 Stay

3 Nights, Thurs-Sun - booked Fountain Room
- Checked in around 1pm - no issues
- Upgraded w/o asking to Deluxe Fountain Room (told that reg Fountain is in Spa Tower, which is not directly over the lake - think "partial ocean view") - Floor 28 northside, facing lake (even room #'s) - excellent view
- Benefits explained very nicely
- Amex Plat needed to stay on for the deposit (1 night deposit on booking), but was able to put balance on a diff. Amex (but still needed an Amex) at check out.
- Checked out at 4pm - granted, but had to remind at check in to mark my res. for that --> TIP: I didn't think this through beforehand, but checking out at 4pm on a Sunday isn't the smartest thing, seemed like 1k ppl checking in - maybe work the bill-settlement eariler in the day

Vouchers/Credit
Breakfast vouchers
- Was just me on this trip, but was given 2 x $30 breakfast vouchers per day = 6 total (they assume 2 ppl/room for this). Interestingly, and it made sense b/c you couldn't check in until noon, but they didn't give me vouchers for the day of arrival
- Was able to use vouchers at Palio Cafe (near pool) and Cafe Gelatto all hours. (Got wine and beer at Pailo) - this seemed YMMV, but the staff recognized me after 2 days, so they seemed very cool with it.
- As it was just me, sometimes I couldn't maximize the full $30, so just picked up something for person behind me in line a couple times.
- Buffet: was only allowed to pay with 1 voucher/person, so breakfast was $36 i think, leaving $6 to be billed to the room... but...

$100 Property/Food credit
- Letter clearly outlines what can be used for , did not see Olives as many report.
- Used at Cafe Bellagio
- Used at Michael Mina
- Balance of buffett also credited
- Letter says cant use for gratuity, tax or alcohol. Final Hotel bill had tax and tip still on, but appeared they couldn't itemize out my drinks (wonder if I had JUST had a drink what would happen).
- didn't have to ask, but wanted to review bill at checkout anyway and charges were already off the bill before I got there

Just remember about those resort fees and NV tax - adds up!

Either way, will ask about comps and FHR at check out and report back.
I "earned" a bit of a comp - asked at mLife desk and Hotel check in manager how it worked - they said basically they'll work to get the max they can get - so basically - seems enormously YMMV and the MV part seems highly correlated to the Theo-Loss.

They want the info so they can properly kick you out if you actually have a brain and have spent more than 10 minutes learning about the game before playing. It's not for your benefit.

Also, as Baccarat King noted, table min bets of $25 will not earn much in the way of comps at Wynncore regardless. By my rough calcs, I'd say that 16 hours of such play is roughly equivalent to the $30 of comps your family members each received. That said, it is a bit cheap for Wynncore to not even give out the $30 in comps since you were on a FHR reservation. Just go down the street to Caesars or Bellagio next time for your gambling.
I definitely appreciate the advice. I'm too small potatoes for them to ever bother kicking me out. I'd agree that it's definitely about consumer data. I will, however note that as little as I play, having the players card has given me access to certain off-peak hotel deals that occasionally come through in the mail. Things like the Bellagio for $120 a night Sun-Thurs in March (a few years ago), or free buffets and shows from Caesars with 2-night stay. I honestly don't play that much, but when business is slower, I guess the casinos will even take my paltry money.

On the wiki is it mentionned "rare" for upgrade at skyloft,
Do you all agree that upgrade for a strip view happen very often and upgrade to 2 /3 BR are indeed rare ?
I'll be pleased to correct the wiki

I always check out via phone. Look at your folio on the TV and ask them to make the proper adjustments. It sometimes takes a few minutes for the adjustments to happen, but once it's done you can just go straight to the taxi line.

Also, the hotel managers have no clue about the comps. It's best to talk to your host or a host on duty and ask them for comps based off your play. Make sure they don't use your comp dollars unless you don't care about it.

Bellagio

Planning trip to LV for Easter weekend.
Doing Four Seasons first, then a back-to-back at Bellagio for Fri-Sat nights is myself and then wife's AU card.

Questions:
1. Four season spa: can we use at Mandalay Bay Spa?
2. Bellagio Breakfast: 2 kids traveling with us, will they get additional breakfast coupons or not?
3. Bellagio Sunday EASTER Brunch: Planning to do Easter Brunch at Fountains. Will they stack the breakfast coupons with the $100 credit for this?

--Will report back upgrades and success/failures of the above next month!

1. Not sure.
2. No, they only give two maximum, regardless of the number of registered guests in the room.
3. You cannot use the breakfast voucher here since Jasmine isn't an approved restaurant for breakfast. The FD will adjust your bill with the $100 dining credit at check-out.

No you may not, unfortunately. The spa at Four Seasons is really lacking. It is impossibly small considering the size of the property. It's one of the reasons why I prefer Aria or Mandarin Oriental over the Four Seasons.

Mandarin Oriental FHR Experience Feb 2015

Recently completed a trip to the M.O.

Stayed Fri. - Tues.

Booked with FHR under 4th night free promotion. Checked in around 5:00 p.m., and the desk agent explained the FHR benefits, including the 4th night free, and gave us a small card with the various perks listed without me having to mention FHR or a special promotion. 4th night is taken completely off and is not spread out as a blanket 25% off. Seems like even if you booked a Friday night after staying Tues/Weds/Thurs it would still knock that (presumably more expensive) Friday night off as the last day. You still pay the tax/resort fee for that 4th night which works out to a little over $30.

We reserved a Cityscape room and were upgraded to a Strip View room. Again, didn't have to mention FHR. He just said something along the lines of, "Let me check about your room upgrade." We were offered late check-out, and did use it without incident. The only blip there was the TV checkout gave me an error and told me to call (I thought maybe it was because we were past checkout time?). Anyhow, over the phone everything was fine and they emailed me my folio. I'm glad we did this because I was amazed when we left at how LONG the check-in line was. It extended all the way from the desk to the elevator. I didn't know it ever got like that there.

I know some people on here (myself included) like to know the value of the breakfast credits at various properties. As of late February, MOLAS's breakfast credit is listed as "daily continental" per the FHR terms, but their policy is to take $51 off of a breakfast bill total charged to the room (not a per person credit). That can be used at Mozen or room service. We got different things from the breakfast menu aside from the Continental and the $51 was always applied. Usually, after the service charge and whatnot, our total charge was listed in the folio as $10-14. The front desk agent did say "about $51" which made me think this price may fluctuate over time.

$100 spa credit offered, and we were going to get a couple of day passes, but just never got around to it.

Use of the house car is complimentary, but it was always gone when we tried. Apparently you can reserve it ahead of time.

All in all a very nice trip. I love the MO Tea Lounge, and the bar was very nice. It's a great hotel if you know what you're getting into with it. Still, the money spent on a Cityscape Room (my rate averaged out to ~$265/night which I think is pretty good for a partial weekend rate) could get you awfully close to a Penthouse Suite at the Vdara--possibly even into a Loft with a 30-35% off Mlife offer. I choose Vdara as a comparison because I find the two hotels similarly situated. MO has fantastic service, but I never really need that service at my hotels. The most interaction I ever have with employees is at the front desk checking in and maybe room service. Saying hello in the hallways is nice, but I've not stayed in a hotel where employees don't greet you politely.

Ok, didn't mean to turn this into a review of the facility. That's my FHR update to keep things current and hopefully address some question others may have. I think next up we'll try out the Wynn/Encore Tower Suites.

I think that's pretty accurate. I've stayed there twice on FHR rate, and received an upgrade to the 2BR on the first stay. They told me at check in that it only happened because occupancy happened to be abnormally low those two nights.

The second stay we only got a strip view upgrade.

so at skyloft very low occupancy lead to upgrade ?
I would be thinking the opposite.

I don't understand what you mean. You think that a hotel at high occupancy would be more likely to upgrade? That hasn't been my experience at all but perhaps I'm misunderstanding your post.

Why would it be the opposite? There is a limited number of 2BR lofts, so the lower the occupancy, the more likely an upgrade is possible.

You understand correctly.
I thought Skyloft does not upgrade to 2 BR.
So I thought that an upgrade was due as it was overbooked in 1BR.
I can be wrong.
