I think I messed up on one of the savings offers
I saved the $20 off $100 purchase at Staples, and went and used my Amex card (which is the secondary to my husband's primary). Just realized the offer had been saved to his number, which is different than mine.

Will it still work with my different number (same account)? I guess I can just return the items and recharge it on his card?

No, AUs have different card numbers for Amex, and the offer is tied to the card number. The good news (for the future) is this allows you to get offers twice. Add it to both card numbers .
