*** Limited time offer ***
Amex EveryDay 15000 MR points after $1000 in 3 months
The 15,000 MR points offer is still available via referral from someone who already has the card. See or ask for this in the discussion. Or look at the Amex referral page: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...posting-3.html.
These are the direct links on americanexpress.com. I have not scoured the internet to seek better offers. Note that both offers include this standard language:
Opening the application link in a Private or Incognito browser window, and not supplying any information about existing accounts, should prevent American Express from identifying you as currently having a card during the application process. They can still instantly determine this using your Social Security number, but in practice this may not occur.
Everyday Preferred (Groceries 3X, Gasoline 2X, General 1X; 50% bonus for 30 transactions in a billing cycle): - LINK

Everyday (Groceries 2X, General 1X; 20% bonus for 20 transactions in a billing cycle): - LINK
**You can now do a product change from AMEX Blue to the regular fee free AMEX EveryDay card. Unsure about other AMEX products that you can change TO the EveryDay card** This would probably preclude you from receiving any sign-up bonus, but moving from the Blue to this card is a + for some.
Use this calculator to work out whether you're better off with the preferred or regular card.

Has anyone reconciled their points with the EDP card? How do standard bonuses work
$100 spent at groceries
A) Base 100 + Bonus 200 + 50% of the base (50)
(100*1.5)+ 200 = 350
Or
B) (100+200)*1.5 = 450
Thanks

If 30 purchases are made in a statement period, the answer is B) 450

Unfortunately they are cash only for the important items. But I'll take 3x on a corn dog every now and then.

So if you spend $100 on groceries and hit the 30 transactions you will earn 450 points.
You can see this on your membership rewards summary. It will categorize your purchases as 1x, 2x, or 3x and then give you a total. You'll then get a separate line item for the 50% bonus which will be 1/2 of the total from the above calculation.

I'll need to test this out again. I mainly shop at Costco for gas but often get quick conveniences at a local station. No GCs tho.

It's 50% more of the total points.

Agreed. Very difficult to do IMO. Beyond any sign up and offer bonuses I just hope for the best. I can't even check to see how much of my $6K spend grocery bonus I've used this year without calling. You'd think Amex would make that available online?!? Do they not want us to see our bonus detail in a useable format?!?

- Login to americanexpress.com
- Click: Statements & Activity
- Change: Recent Activity to Year-To-Date
- If you see a circular graph labelled Showing Your Categories, click the Yellow Merchandise & Supplies area.
- The graph will redraw with a different label Showing your Subcategories, one of which is Groceries, allowing you to see the year to date spend.

That's great I'll give it a try. When I couldn't figure out how to check the spend, I called Amex and the rep gave me the amount but told me I wasn't able to check online.
Next time I'll just post my questions here :-)

$6000 grocery bonus limit
I have the EDC, EDP and BCP, and this may be a simple question but I've never been able to clarify in the benefit terms. Is the $6000 grocery bonus spend limit per card (in my case $18,000 of potential grocery bonus spend), or $6000 across all cards?
