AMEX definitely plays a role in negotiating transfer ratios and transfer bonuses. I'd expect the first quarter to be slow, but there should be something... Transfer bonuses are the best thing MR has over UR, in my opinion, and they're the biggest reason I bank MR. Chase never does them.

True and this as well as the fact that Amex has a no fee card with transfer out capability would be good reasons to earn Amex points, but Amex's airline partners are not useful to me. BA was a good program but that ratio was downgraded. Maybe this is why Chase does not feel the need to offer a no annual fee card or transfer bonus.

Probably. VS recently ran a transfer bonus with Citi ThankYou Rewards, and now they are running one with Diners Club Rewards (and also Heathrow Rewards). I imagine Membership Rewards will cycle around in this quarter. Last year's offer was in May.

aeromexico bonus?

Aeromexico is currently showing 1k MR to 1,600 Club Premier miles, is this because of the kilometer conversion or is this a bonus? Would be good value for South American redemption.

Just the conversion from MR to Club Premier points/kilometers.

Yeah this is what I am waiting for also...so mad at myself that I missed the chance to make good use of my TYP a month ago. I really would rather have moved those with a bonus since MR have other good value for me and TYP are pretty much only good for VS for me.
