You might be right, but I hope not.

I'm happy that I transferred about 2.5 million MR points in 2012 to get my British Air Avios balance up to a little over 4 million. I went for a mix of 30%, 40% and 50% bonuses. My current Avios balance is now at 2.2 million. It's nice to put them to good use knowing they came at a discount.

Wow that's a lot of Avios! I use most of my Avios for the EI BOS-DUB deal at 25k per r/t... 4 million would be 160 r/t tickets!

I use them for International business and first travel for friends & family, so they tend to go pretty fast!

Smile Chances of an Emirates Bonus ?

Oh wise Amex FTers,

I note that the last Emirates Transfer Bonus was November 2013 and was valid for only 2 weeks.

Short of this fine forum, how is an AMEX member to learn about an upcoming Transfer Bonus Promotion ?

I would be most interested in what veteran AMEX members might speculate as to the chances that Amex will have another Emirates Transfer Bonus next month (November 2014).

Is it just me, or is the value of Amex Membership becoming more diminished by the minute ?

I have never seen advance announcement of a transfer bonus. The only way to find out about them is after they are announce on the Amex web site or here.

They are impossible to predict. DL and BA each ran them repeatedly for about two years each, and then stopped. DL hasn't done one in about 3 years and BA has been quiet for a year now.

At the top of this thread in the WIKI is a list of all the transfer bonuses over the last few years.

And now one for Hilton HHonors, 1000 MR = 2000 HH.

Would have preferred only BA to all three of these bonuses, but oh well.

1. Can you also see the SPG offer?
2. Either way, which Membership Rewards card do you hold?

I can see SPG, but not Hilton, and I'm trying to figure out if they are both targeted individually, or linked to card type.

I can see the HH bonus without even logging in, and it's still there after logging in. I don't see the SPG bonus either way. I have Amex Blue (doesn't count?) and BRG.

Data point: I can see Hilton but not SPG. Premier Rewards Gold. No history of transferring points to any hotel chain.
