Reminder: you must enroll and select AS as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase. Click HERE to enroll.
As of June 2017 gift certificates are no longer reimbursed. Link to buy gift certicates

According to this thread in the Alaska forum the reimbursement of Alaska Club memberships is no longer a problem. To see how much of your annual credit you've used, log in to AmEx, select the card in question, choose "Membership->Benefits" off the menu bar, scroll down to see the travel credit benefit. (with thanks to Lumpylump76)

Tickets cancelled within 24 hours are refunded back to the card used for the purchase. Tickets for travel dates > 60 days out can be deposited to your wallet when cancelled (this has not been true for some time). Change fees may apply depending on your status. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75k members according to this page: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ID:MileagePlan (expand "service benefits" towards the bottom of the page). The wallet funds will expire one year after the issue date of the original ticket.

Does anyone have any experience/success getting reimbursed for the taxes and costs associated with transferring Alaska miles to another mileage plan member?
Are these transfers processed directly by Alaska? Thanks

Given it's called out as a gift certificate in the transaction line, I'm not holding out a ton of hope. But if any credit posts, I'll be sure to let you all know!
Full $100 credit posted yesterday! Woo hoo!

AMEX $200 GC Reimbursement seems to be based on amount

Based on my experience of the past 2 weeks, the $200 reimbursement for gift certificates appears to be based on dollar amount. I bought four $50 certificates all at once for $200 and after 10 days no reimbursement. I then bought four more $50 certificates in separate transactions a few days apart and all were reimbursed in a few days.

All of mine since I got the AMex have been refunded now.

GD just tried on her card. However she is having problems - we've not got the confirmation email, nor has the person we sent the GC to got the numbers. We purchased it Friday. We just called them and they claim to have resent everything but still no emails. I see the purchase on her Amex card so it went through the whole process.

Is anyone else having problem purchasing the gift cards?

Well on the 2nd resend the recipient got it though we have still not got our receipt.. I guess their system was having some problems. But they are very nice when you call and will resend the GC.

Still alive. 2x $50 cards in the one hit, posted as transaction as "Gift Cert" but still refunded by Amex.

Win win!

Sorry for asking a basic question, but I was just approved for a Platinum upgrade yesterday. How exactly does the annual calendar cutoff work? I plan on getting GC's right away this year, but not sure how to use next year's $200? Thank you!

No credit yet

Purchased $100 x 1 gc on Dec 3. No credit yet.
But also purchased $44 x 1 gc for southwest on another card and that one doesn't post as a gc and also no credit yet. same date.

Anyone gotten credit lately?
