I've been given my six month extension/notice period. It won't be a great loss as it was only ever used to access the BA lounges at LHR T5 on short haul connections. Can't say I'll miss either of those

Has anyone actually renewed Gold on the 20 sectors/30k miles fast track yet? I may have enough AA/US airways sectors to renew by the end of the year, but have zero CP sectors. If that's a requirement (not mentioned in the letter), it's probably a deal breaker for renewing my Platinum card for me, as it's the only cardmember benefit I'm using these days with the loss of US Airways and AA lounge access earlier this year.

I received also this letter few weeks ago. My original expiration was January, and now they gave the card until July 2015 and then fast track.

My guess is that it's a one time thing as CX appears to want to divorce itself from its relationship with Amex Platinum. Otherwise, it could have offered a soft landing by downgrading to Silver and Gold for Plat and Cent respectively with fasttrack to Gold and Diamond.
I wonder if something is in the work to replace this Plat benefit with another airline.

I got the Jul 2015 extension + fast track as well. I've only used the card on BA flights, so I've decided to switch to BA for my OW status. I'm flying YYZ-LHR-CPT return next March in J, so that should get me BA Silver. Even with the fast-track offer, I don't think I'd re-qualify for MP Gold.

I got a letter extending this benefit to August 2015 from Feb 2015 as well. Have made great use of it for lounges and especially seat selection (saved hundreds...). My spouse got it on the last day possible so may get some use out of it yet after August 2015.
