New FHR properties for 2010
I haven't seen discussion of it here but I got a postcard in the mail the other day - a significant step down from the old book o' properties - with the listing of the new FHR properties. There are just over 60 properties listed on the card, including 30 Four Seasons hotels, a handful of Grand or Park Hyatts and a few Mandarin Orientals. Overall it looks like a pretty good list (no, I'm not planning on retyping all 60+ in here) but still a benefit that I'm likely to not use.

The new hotels are loaded in to the FHR booking engine online for folks who want to search pricing and benefits.

1. There is a 2010 FHR book, just like last year and every year. If you didn't receive it - call and ask for one.
2. You mentioned it was "a pretty good list" because they "added" 60 properties:
a) They also removed quite a few - IMO the list got much worse this year, with many good and useful properties (which I have enjoyed in the past) being silently dropped.
b) Some of the "newly added" properties are simply brand new properties in the chain (with which FHR has a general agreement) e.g. MO - no special effort by FHR to "add" them, since all hotels in the chain are there by default.

two things to note:

I didn't get a book and I have no use for one. Maybe they know I just recycle it straight away anyways. Still, it is interesting that they are choosing not to send it to all cardholders.
I thought the list looked decent enough. I so rarely use the benefit that I've never bothered to compare year over year. Yes, many of the 60 additions are just new properties in the chain, but not all certainly. All the 4S additions are not that way, for instance, and those make up ~50% of the additions.

^ for adding FS Hong Kong. That property has been sorely missed (by me at least). Its a great hotel, glad to have it in the program.
