Canadian AMEX referrals!
Hi all. It would be my pleasure to refer you to the following Canadian AMEX cards.
1) AMEX Gold Rewards Card
- 20,000 Bonus Points after $500 spend within 3 months
- No annual fee for the first year
- 2 points per dollar for travel/grocery/drugstore/gas purchases!
2) The AMEX Platinum Card
- 60,000 Bonus Membership Rewards Points after $3,000 spend within 3 months (This is 10000 points more than the regular signup offer)
- 2 x $200 Annual Travel Credit (for first year only if you signup now): Use $200 credit before end of this year and then again starting Jan 1, 2013
- $699 Annual Fee. This is a bit steep, but the MR points plus travel credit more than makes up for it. Plus you get access to AMEX lounges; Priority pass VIP for unlimited access to 600+ lounges when traveling; Starwood Gold membership for hotel upgrades/welcome gifts; and Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club Gold membership.
- If you are in Toronto: Access to AMEX lounge inside Roy Thomson Hall for free drinks when you see the symphony
3) Aeroplan Platinum Card
- 51000 aeroplan points: 25,000 aeroplan miles upon first use and another 26,000 aeroplan miles after $1,000 spend within 3 months
- Receive an annual complimentary Partner Ticket.
- Access to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Arrivals Lounges
- 1.25 Aeroplan Miles for every $1 on purchases up to $25,000 annually
- 1.5 Aeroplan Miles for every $1 on purchases over $25,000 annually
- $499 annual fee: Again, the miles you get more than makes up for the steep fee, especially if you redeem for long haul US flights
Please PM me with your name and email if interested! Cheers!
Anthony

It appears that the search sessions can't really be "saved" and get cleared out after a while. I've fixed them. Mia, can you try it out?

The SPG Amex is my go-to card when making everyday purchases. SPG points are extremely valuable at 2.2 cents a piece. C&P rewards are phenomenal value and I have sometimes stretched my points to be worth 8 cents each! Also, you can transfer SPG points to numerous airline programs.
The elite status credits make it easier to obtain status with SPG which means upgrades and amenities. Currently this is the best offer available.
An overview of the benefits:
• 10,000 Bonus Points after First Purchase
• 15,000 Bonus Points after you spend $5000 in 6 months.
• 5 Points per Dollar at hotels and resorts participating in the SPG program
• 1 Point per Dollar spend everywhere else
• 5 Nights and 2 Stays Elite Status Credit
• Annual Fee Waived ($65)
If you found my information helpful, please PM and I can provide you with a referral for the SPG Amex. I really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
traveldealexpert

There's no bonus available for upgrades. However, I upgraded, then 2 months later (once i had met the minimum spend requirement for the bonus of the current new cardmember promotion) I sent a message asking to receive the bonus. About a week later I was given the 50k MR points.

You won't get that from members here. These are all for new apps only. You can only get an upgrade to AMEX Platinum with points if AMEX gives you that offer. Otherwise, you will need to apply for one and it will be a hard inquiry.

There have been stories of people self-referring and got both bonuses, but YMMV.
