763 vs 772 vs BA 744 J to Europe
Looking at purchasing J tickets to Europe this fall for my wife and I. Only decent option going is 763, but for the return I could do any of the options in the title. What do you guys recommend for a couple traveling together? Most seat options are still open in all of those cabins.

Some of AA's 763s and 772s still have angled seats, so be careful. The 772 with the new configuration has seats that face each other, if you want that, but 7D and H do not face each other and adjacent and facing forward. I don't like that they give you a tablet on the 763s in the configuration instead of a built in TV, but some people do like it. BA's 744s have the typical Club World seat where the seats face each other, but with more legroom than any of AA's seats. 62 and 63 A and B or J and K are the best seats because they are the exit row on the upper deck. They also have space between the seat and window that can be used for storage.
Overall, go with the 744 if you are tall or want the 747 experience before they leave the sky. If you want a tablet and not a TV, go with the 763. Otherwise, take the 772 in seats 7D and 7H (unless you want to face each other).

The only good seats on BA J are the upper deck window seats. All others are narrow with no storage. Particularly frustrating on a day flight when there's nowhere to put anything.
Assuming you can get a flat bed on AA, it'll be superior IME. Unless you don't mind splitting up and both taking UD windows, if you can even get them (generally need to pay or be min AA Plat to assign in advance)

What about DFW-MAD-MXP on AA connecting to Iberia? AA is flying the 787-900 on the long hall and is getting pretty good reviews so far. I've never flown the 787-900...but the earlier 787-800 was a good flight.
