-Roast Duck Panang Curry (cilantro jasmine rice, bok choy)
-Chinese Eggplant (steamed rice, broccoli)

HKG-LAX:

-Sweet and Sour Chicken (steamed jasmine rice, bok choy)
-Spinach Gnocchi (mozzarella, roasted vine-ripened tomatoes, brown butter sauce)
-Australian Black Angus Beef Filet (red wine demi-glace, roasted potatoes, snow peas, mixed peppers)
-Kung Pao Prawn (steamed jasmine rice, snow peas)

On the outbound, I'm at a loss on what to pick.

On the return, the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Spinach Gnocchi, and Filet all sound good.

Anyone have any experience with these?

Facing the same menu, and not super excited about any of these options. Any suggestions? Maybe try a special order meal?

Outbound: Shrimp or Duck. I'd get the duck.

Return: Gnocchi!

Since the poster is asking about a flight departing from DFW, I am comfortable recommending the fish. IIRC, I've had fish a few times on flights catered from there and it was always pretty good. At least 3 different preparations.
Thanks guys!

DFW-LHR in mid-July, these are the offerings. Suggestions from those of you who have tried/experimented/eaten these on AA would be greatly appreciated!

JFK-LHR - June 2017 - Business

JFK-LHR
June 2017
Business Class
AA 104 (10:25pm Dp)
777-200 - Zodiac seats

Quinoa mango vegetable timbale
Super grain salad
Korean braised short ribs

AA decided we should have two salads as starters. I guess it's good to get our greens! Short ribs were pretty tasty, though not the most tender (needed knife to cut). On several JFK-LHR flights over the past couple of years, they're always pretty good about getting the meals out quickly! Of course with the new Flagship Lounge you can have a full, free, dinner on the ground, at least as decent as BA's Preflight Dining (IMO).

LHR Arrivals Lounge - June 2017

I suppose the LHR Arrivals Lounge qualifies as an AA International Meal.

I didn't bother with the made-to-order stuff, just had a selection of breakfast, then lunch items from the buffet.

LHR-JFK First Class June 2017 Menu

AA#107 (5pm)
LHR-JFK
777-300ER
First Class
June 2017

Everything was pretty good, although the salmon itself was a tad too overcooked for my tastes. Crew was excellent, the FA doing the cabin service was working hard for like 3 straight hours. Partly my fault because I requested my meal service to begin 2 hours after departure, having shortly beforehand eaten my way around the CX, BA, and AA F lounges.

Menu below, meal pics in the next post.

Beverage Service:
Soda, Beer, White or Red Wine. I chose the white. Was okay, not great though. (Better than the appalling "ink and vinager" red I had on the inbound flight from PHL.) I asked for a Sam Adams when the F/A came round again and they give you the whole can.

Lunch:
Choice of Pasta or Meatballs served with plastic bag bread, crackers and cream cheese spread. I chose the pasta. Had a bit of garlic flavor and herbs in it and was what you'd expect. Not horrible (like the meatballs the Pax next to me said were).

Dessert:
Vanilla ice cream. Was actually quite good.

Snack:
Arguably the best thing food-wise on this flight. It was a sort of Quasi flatbread Stromboli thing that was served hot and actually really good. Seriously I had no expectations of this thing being good but it was Miles better than the averageish pasta.

(Sorry about the lousy picture. This phone actually completely crapped out and died in-flight and wouldn't turn on again.)

AA57 - Lunch Choices

I have just seen the lunch menu choices for our family's flight in J from LHR>MIA next month;

  • Grilled Tenderloin Grilled Tenderloin
bordelaise sauce, boiled potatoes, sautéed spinach
  • Roasted Cauliflower Roasted Cauliflower
Gruyère mashed potatoes, watercress, pumpkin seed crumble
  • Chanterelle-stuffed Guinea Hen Chanterelle-stuffed Guinea Hen
rosemary jus, garlic schupfnoodles, sautéed fennel, roasted tomato
  • Cod Filet and Prawn Jalfrezi Cod Filet and Prawn Jalfrezi
saffron rice, Asian-spiced spinach, paratha bread

Which option would you suggest is the best?

My choice is probably easier as I cannot eat cheese, but my wife and son can pick any.

Also my travel agent has also requested a non-lactose meal (NLML) for me, to avoid cheese. Which will take priority the special meal or the choose yourself online meal?

I also assume a second lighter meal is served during the 9hr 25min flight.

Thanks,
