This is a pretty sad 35th anniversary promotion compared to the 25th one 10 years ago. I remember they were giving out a ton of miles, I think it was DEQM or DRDM (maybe both) in addition to a ton of different games/prizes/promotions.

Definitely agree-- each one of these has been noticeably weaker than the one(s) previous.

Forget the 700 free miles. Instead, just guarantee us PDBs, which is much more valuable to most FT members. Now, if I happen to be lucky enough to win 350,000, you won't see me complaining one bit

Promotional sweepstakes/miles giveaway aside, I believe some (most?) of the videos are from 1MM+ BIS AA members. I would guess one or more of them are FT members (whether or not they wish to admit it), but it looks like there was solicitation of stories ahead of the general promo.

Maybe they'll come out with more promos over the next month. The 35th Anniversary splash page content doesn't resonate. The email announcement didn't have panache or polish.
This is arrogant, and hope I'm wrong, but this makes what I did earlier in the year to earn certain members of the executive team a slap on the wrist by a counterparty for not planning something, believable.
That counterparty isn't mentioned in any of the material posted today unlike past #milestone celebrations, which was something I asked and was told they hadn't been consulted yet.
At least American gifted 700 miles and turning 35 was recognized.
