According to this link 30 Days of Deals there is a Admirals Club promotion on May 12.

I don't expire until May; it's probably worth waiting to see what the promotion is .....

New Members only?

I can't get the code to work; is it for new memberships only or can it be used on a renewal as well?

Mine worked as a new member. I am not sure about renewals, but it saved me $120 (400 --> 280) so the one silver lining in the 30 days promo.

The limited info we have right now indicates that this will only be for new memberships. (See the posts in the 30th Anniversary thread.)

Yeah, I just saw that; I appreciate the info. Crap. If any FT magicians figure a workaround for renewals, I'd be grateful. Sure I wouldn't be the only one!

Think there would be any chance to get a membership extended due to the club being closed?

I let mine go in Feb, so it's $350 instead of renewing at $300. With that coupon, it goes to $245. Not bad.

I must be missing something. As an EXP renewing it's $300-$25=$275.
As an EXP a new membership would be $350-$105=$245.
If true, this sort of rubs me the wrong way.
