Any experience ORD-SJD upgrade?
This Friday (40 hours from now) am on ORD-SJD 209. No upgrade notification as yet. I wouldn't be too surprised by that if J was fairly full. But according to SeatCounter.com, there are still 7 J seats available (side question. Why is 7 the maximum they ever show for each fare code?). I know seat maps don't mean much but EF shows 11 of the 22 seats empty.
Anyone have any experience with upgrades on this route?

209 is showing D7 C2 R0. D is discounted business, C is eVIP availability, R is sticker availability. If I had to guess I'd say you'll make it.
Here's an EF riff on why they only show 7:

The “7” in P7 means there at least 7 seats that can be sold at this price. In fact, there are probably more. Notice how all the booking classes have a maximum number of 7. Different airlines will show different maximum numbers. Some use 9 and some use 4. In this case, it’s 7.
