AA's policy on mentally handicapped passengers

A poster in the new FlyerTalk Disability Travel section asks about airline policies for mentally handicapped passengers. I found the following on AA's website:

http://www.aa.com/content/travelInfo...bilities.jhtml

Which is very generic. Does anybody have any more detailed information that they can share?

The FT Disability travel link is here:

http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...ML/000009.html

Perhaps any responses might best be posted both here and in the Disability Travel section? Thanks.
