Rumor! Rumor! Rumor!!

AA to resume nonstop MIA-TLV and JFK-TLV, as well.

They will be announced sometime this month or next month.

Let the speculation begin!!

MIA-TLV I can see. I think JFK-TLV is unlikely, given the competition.

Isn't there some lawsuit pending in Israel against AA that prevents them from starting service to TLV?

JFK-TLV is the second most traveled O&D trans-Atlantic city pair in the world. There is plenty of room for AA, especially when it competes in much smaller markets with more compeition, including JFK-ZRH, JFK-FCO and JFK-MXP. JFK-TLV is at least 100% bigger than all of those markets.

There was an issue regarding TWA debts. See the discussion here:

Right on...Too much competition against LY & DL. Both flights is always oversold for every day. Too overcrowded!!! There are lots of Jewish populations who flew to Israel to visits with relatives, business, leisure and etc.

If the current flights are always oversold, then it makes perfect sense to do NYC-TLV.

Not in its current guise, but TW did so. That could be what the OP is referring to.

Or he could be referring to the resumption of the route MIA-TLV, formerly flown by LY.

Right! LY does fly TLV-MIA years ago and they stop flying TLV-MIA. Due to high cost of the fuel.
