Have a 11:40 AM flight from DFW to EWR and am not sure whether that qualifies for lunch or snack.

Many thanks.
Looking at the timetable, it says 'LG' under that flight. What does the G stand for? The key contains
Code:
B=Breakfast D=Dinner F=Food for Purchase H=Hot Meals K=Continental Breakfast L=Lunch M=Meal O=Cold Meals R=Refreshment S=Snack

Not sure, but L is your FC meal. I suspect G is some sort of modified or special Food For Purchase code in the main cabin.

^ Thanks.
Still unclear about the difference between F and G, because beverages seem to always be available, however I am probably over thinking this

Looking at the advance choice entree selections, it looks like menus have indeed recently changed. My choices on a lunch LAX-DFW flight the week of 2/18 are somewhat surprising for a midcon lunch being that they are both hot entrees:
Lemon Thyme Chicken
Served with quinoa arugula salad
Beef Fillet
Accompanied by jalapeño Jack polenta and green beans

SFO-DFW
1135 am departure
PDBs - water only
Lunch -
Grilled chicken on a large salad - looked good
Filet with string beans and polental
One of the worst airline meals - the overdone filet was three bits total - the beans were shriveled and a dark green-black and the polenta was like a brick.
Interestingly instead of the bread basket I was asked to choose my bread type when I ordered - second time in past three flights.
Cookies for desert - didn't notice what but two types offered.

Makes sense. Surprised they didn't just call it a salad. Deconstructing the plate I guess Given the non-rousing review of the beef you provided, it's probably going to be the cold salad for me.

Perhaps that's how the caterers stay in budget
