Oh, I'm not complaining, just thought it was odd.

Are you sure it's actually "juice"? This is the only dish that AA serves where the protein is faux/processed/questionable. I would much rather have a burger with real meat. But hey, at least they havn't jumped on UA/CO's wagon of serving faux processed chicken breast with faux grill marks. Let's not give them any ideas!

Midnight Raid
PDB: Water, OJ, or "Champagne"

Choice of a salad with grilled chicken or a large cheese plate. I went with the chicken salad. Came on one tray with the usual warm roll, mixed nuts, and chocolate.

My seat was 9G in J. Toward the end of boarding, I did the usual "Hi, we're sitting next to each other for the next 5 hours so let me assure you I am not a psycho axe murderer" small talk with 9D. When he said he started in DCA then ended the day in LAX just to fly to JFK and then jump on a plane to SFO, it led to the inevitable, "Who are you on FT?" Turned out to be headinclouds. I somehow missed seeing his FT baggage tag and I forgot mine on this trip. Very smart guy and as expected, well traveled. I learned quite a bit about how to fly right on my upcoming trip to Europe in May. Big thanks for all the info.

The FA on my side of the cabin seemed much more on the ball. The FA working the aisle seemed to rush service and even forgot headinclouds' ramekin of mixed nuts. I turned mine over to him as I has my fill of nut blend. Note to self, the answer to what I did this weekend must NOT include, "I let a guy on a plane handle my warm nuts."

757-200 (N602AN - new F cabin)

Breakfast

No PDB served. The crew decided instead to chat in the galley.

I had the Corn Flakes / Fruit combo with some OJ. I no biscuit or bagel for me.

My colleague had the cheese omelette with potatoes, fruit and a cinnamon raisin bagel.

737-800 (N850NN - non wifi, old (non sky) interior)

Supper

PDB: None offered - with good reason. There were literally 21 people on this entire flight - 5 total in F. As soon as the 21 of us were on board, we were pushed back and gone. Boarding took about 10 minutes and we landed in DFW ONE HOUR early!

To start: warm, mixed nuts; choice of beverage. I opted for the red wine.

Wines: Doncaster Estate Shiraz 2010 / Pasqua Pinot Grigio 2010

Two options tonight: Chicken ravioli and Chipotle chicken. Choice of bread was honey wheat and a regular old white bread roll. My colleague went with the ravioli:

I choose the chipotle chicken, and it was VERY good. ^

Finished off with a very nice brownie sundae!

Great flight, great crew, great meal! ^

+1

I had the sandwich on DFW-ATL & DFW-SEA this past weekend.. Compared to meals I've had in the past, this sandwich was very tasty. Large & filling portion, and it had the perfect amount of "kick" to it.

Hi All -

I will be on AA 222 (LAX-BOS) and AA 145 (BOS-LAX) later this week.

Both flights are nonstop transcons on the 767-300. I love those F seats..

I have not done transcons in years (I live in Austin and did a ton of midcons in 2011), so this should be a treat for me.

My comp EXP "electronic" upgrade cleared at 100 hours for LAX-BOS.

Per EXP Desk, I am still waitlisted for AA 145 (BOS-LAX) - and EXP agent told me half the cabin is still available for sale - so things look good. If need be, I will pull an SWU.

I will post menus sometime next week.

Thanks.

Hi. Thank you for detailed posting. What type of plane was this - 2 class with F and Y, or was it F, J and Y? I'm trying to understand if you were in F on a 3 class plane. Great menu..

JFL-LAX Lunch

Flight 19
JFK-LAX
January 15, 2012
Lunch

To Start:
Warm mixed nuts

Salad:
Fresh seasonal greens offered with classic Caesar dressing or premium extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Bread basket:
Assorted gourmet breads

Main Course:
Chicken Pot Pie - A baked savory chicken pot pie with gravy, potatoes, carrots, green beans and peas in a delicate crust (American Classics item)

Lemon Dill Salmon - Grilled salmon enhanced with lemon dill sauce, served with baby fennel, broccoli and buttered new potatoes

Dessert:
Ice cream - Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch with cocoa dusted almonds

Fruit and cheese - A selection of seasonal fruit and fine cheeses

Light refreshment:
Freshly baked on board cookies

Pre arrival beverage:
Chilled sparkling or still water with a fresh citrus garnish

I had the chicken pot pie since I don't eat seafood and it was ehhhhhhhhh, edible, but nothing special. Service was pretty good, but it always amaze me how the F/A's disappear for over an hour or more after the meal service. As if nobody wants a drink refill or anything after the meal is done. Occasionally you'll get a really good F/A that makes frequent pass-throughs, but it's more of an exception rather than the rule.

AA 20 is a 3-class 762 flight, an mention of the Salad Cart indicates this is First Class menu.

From SFO all the flights to JFK are 767-200s except the 0700 departure which is a 767-300 (two class).
