~5% ebay fees
~3% Paypal fees
+ $7 for Priority Mail Shipping with Signature required

If you dont' send the cards with signature required, expect to get scammed. Some buyers will claim they never got them and without signature proof of delivery, you will loose the money.

Ya, i know - obviously the discount is not meaningful enough to make any profit. The only possible incentive here is to meet some sort of cc spending requirement such as HH amex 40K for diamond.

Yeah. Those fees and shipping adds up to about $30, the amount one saves per card. If you don't sell it with a significant discount, there's no incentive for anyone to purchase from eBay than on AA.com.

If AA were to file and not honor these, you'd have recourse through your credit card.

Nothing in TX

I went to the Plano store today and the lady in the cage said they never had AA gift cards. I asked her to look for the item # (thanks OP for posting that), then she pulled a screen for the TX region showing the item (AA gift card), but no entries for TX.

Really? Even though I bought them through Costco? Though I suppose I'm covered under a better return policy with Costco.

Hi folks, the cards did arrive as scheduled today (5/25/11) at the Pentagon City Costco, but have already sold out (I bought the last few and heard the front end clerk request the display to be taken down). Thanks to those who posted about it and congrats to those that got a few cards!
