Admirals Club membership discounts / discount - aren't they wonderful...
Admirals Club® discounts
Admirals Club® discounts are valid for CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® card members only. Use promotion code CB1 for renewing members and CB2 for new members. Card members must use their CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® card at the time of the purchase to receive Admirals Club® discount. American Airlines may terminate the discount upon 60 days' notice. Admirals Club® membership fees are non-refundable. Discount cannot be combined with any other offer. For a full listing of Admirals Club® program terms, conditions and locations, please visit www.aa.com/admiralsclub. The Admirals Club® discount is effective through August 1, 2007. The above is a small excerpt directly from Public area of website Is anyone familar with the term of the deal? How much is the discount? "discount can not be combined with any other offer'.- Is the reduced elite rate considered 'other offer'? If yes then this is a meaningless perk to most FT'ers. |
No. This is a published benefit of the Aadvantage Business Card. I renewed in early summer and the discount was either $20 or $25 off the already discounted EXP rate for renewing the card. I did have to pay with the card to obtain the discount.

You drank the KoolAAid, didn't you.
__________ What has everyone paid for their AC Memberships? Has anyone every been given special pricing offers? I broke down and went for the lifer when they offered it which was around 2500 bucks IIRC, and a buttload of miles. I've used it a whopping TWO times this year. With quick turns and depeaking, finding time to use the clubs isn't as easy as it used to be. Yes, in a targeted promo last year AA sent a free day pass + $50 off if you signed up for an AC membership during the visit. I ended up getting a new membership for $250 instead of the normal $300 EXP price.
|
I use the ACs frequently when travelling, regularly during irrops if I can't get help on the cell phone with EXP first (or need BPs resulting from the call,) and occasionally use them for business meetings, interviews and corrective counselling with upper level employees (neutral turf, no gossip - "I have a business meeting at the XYZ Admirals Club, Ginny; I'll be back by 3:00.")
Obviously, everyone's mileage will vary... axostech has been bitten by the vAAmpire, and is now one of us. ;) |
