AA started flying all those routes to XNA because they heard that the Ivory-billed Woodpecker had been rediscovered in the swamps of northwest Arkansas (true), and they were getting set for all the birders who were going to see it. But now that most ornithologists have debunked the story (also true), saying the guys who claimed to find the bird must have been high on Arkansas joyjuice, the flights will probably be empty except for Wal-Mart wonks. Darn, Mrs. GoBears and I were going to go and find that woodpecker!

Unless those woodpeckers are nocturnal, it would be pretty hard for Miami-based bird-fanciers, as the schedule only leaves XNA in the morning and returns in the evening.

Also for Miami fliers, Miami-Charlotte goes 5x daily this spring, and one of the MIA-JAX runs will get an ERJ, replacing an ATR.
In addition, CVG-LGA and ORD-SHV were loaded into the system last week, but have since been deleted. Not sure what is going on with those two.

MIA-XNA is pretty cool, will let us Californians who relocated to XNA get on some cruise ships
I wonder what's next? With all the people in XNA driving to Tulsa to fly to LAS, I am surprised some airlines hasn't picked that one up yet...
