Better question to ask in the destination forum, or even the Lounge Access Help Desk thread? I do know you're not eligible to use the GRU Admirals Club, not departing on a oneworld flight.

Used the lounge in GRU last night - it's a nice lounge. Little disappointing that it's a combined business/first lounge with no separate F lounge as it's pretty busy, but it's one of the nicer ones in the system for sure.

Hello All,
Passing through GRU for the first time, so all help appreciated.
Flying AA J class to GRU, connecting then to GOL flight to AEP. GOL flight is in Y booked on DL skypesos!!
I'm an AA EXP
I'm an Alitalia Alata Plus (No DL status)
I have priority pass lounge access
I have Amex Plat card
Two, questions:
1) Layovers in GRU are long, 7 hrs and 5 hrs going and coming, any advice on this connection? Like print GOL boarding pass, clearing transit, etc. I'll have not checked bags
2) Suggestions on lounge access? emphasis on fast internet and good food. Outbound layover is 12 pm to 7 pm and inbound is 7 pm to midnight.
Thank you!

Decided to try AA again, after more than a year of not flying oneworld at all, with a trip to GRU.
The GRU lounge main seating area is so brightly lit it hurts my eyes and makes an annoying hum -- I was getting a headache after just a few minutes. The plugs near the seats are Brazilian-only, despite the fact that there must be a sizable number of US pax using the lounge. The urinals in the gent's are so high, if I was any shorter than my 5'8", there would have been "cupping". The food selection was abysmal -- if you're looking to dine before you fly the rather late red-eye to MIA, good luck. The drink selection was worse.
It is clean and new. Those are the only positive things I can say about it. Those will fade quickly.
Combined with the experience aboard the flights, I'm not inspired to go back to AA. It'll be another 12+ months before I check in with them again...

Because you are flying GOL to AEP, maybe you prefer to relax using GOL/Smiles lounge where your Priority Pass will be welcome. T1&T2 are connected airside for international passengers in the sterile area through a walking belt. GOL lounge has showers, most welcome after a long flight.
Food options at GRU are mostly the same from lounge to lounge as they all share a rather very sad food supplier, presentation may differ between them though. Lower your expectations for GOL lounge... the high point is the free shower for Priority Pass users, where in the other lounges you would be charged an additional fee on top of the entrance fee paid.
Your AA J boarding pass clears your way to both the AA and TAM lounges; I believe the TAM lounge to be better off in space and environment.

For an AA EXP arriving in J with AA and flying out of terminal 2 in TAM domestic coach, do they get free access to any OW lounges in T2 or T3?
For those with PP, are there any better lounges at T2?

You are an international connecting passenger, you should have no need to clear customs/immigration at GRU; Simply head to international connections on your way out of your arriving international aircraft to clear security and be in the international sterile area.

Arriving in GRU (AA from DFW in J) and connecting to GOL flight to Iguasu falls. Have a 3 hour connection. I see AA arrives in Terminal 3 & GOL departs from Terminal 2. Possible to get to the Admirals Club before my GOL flight to catch wifi?

admirals club in GRU

UA flyer traveling through GRU. Last time departing intl through GRU, when at *A lounge, which I liked (though showers smaller than old UC club) saw construction of Admiral's Club. Since I have access into that club as well, can someone give a review of that club, especially vis a vis the *A club.

The new facility in T3 is ways ahead of the old one. Ample seating with equally ample power plugs. The WiFi is fast. I`ve been in there six times since November, and finding a seat/workspace was never an issue. Dog-friendly, too - the staff was very courteous to my (service) dog.
Very decent for an Admirals Club. They have real food on offer, an open bar (nothing special in the selection, though) and everything is well presented and tasty (really liked the soup).
No idea about the Star lounge. Never been in the current one.
I`ll go through there two more times this month. Will take pictures, test the showers and put up a proper review in here. Check back in this thread around the 25th...

Better late than never - here's some pictures:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...ac_gru_t3.html
As noted earlier, seating is ample and I´ve never seen this lounge (over-)crowded even at evening peak times.
There's lots of staff at the check-in desk - never experienced any queues to get in as well.
WiFi was fast and reliable whenever I was there.
They have gone with the times and offer AC power and USB at all seats - oddly (and departing from other - older - international ACs) there's no universal outlets and US travelers need an adapter for their devices.
Shower suites are spacious, sparkling clean and there's nice touches such as the oversize towels. The rain showers are ceiling-mounted and accommodate even the tallest people.
Had to wait half an hour for one the last time I was there, though (that's why there's only so few pictures - I had to hurry up as my flight was already boarding by the time I got out of the shower).
Food is well-presented, there's enough of a variety for my non-spoiled mind and especially the sweet treats are very tasty. Staff always was really behind in replenishing items - the pictures were taken around 22:30, in the middle of all the evening AA departures.
There's an array of hot food as well (no photos). It is entirely possible to have a filling meal there.
Coffee comes by way of a Nescafe Milano instant machine - I found the lattes/cappucino pretty decent, and the 'chocolate' bordering on undrinkable.
The 'champagne' is Brazilian sparkling wine that retails for about ten dollars a bottle, but it's decent. Same for the (Chilean) white wine, which actually fits well with the food served there. Didn't try any of the reds.
Dog-friendly staff as well: My (service) dog was very welcome there and offered water and food (a special helping of unseasoned grilled chicken straight from the kitchen).
Bottom line: Very nice for an Admirals' Club, and I`d compare it with the Flagship lounges in the US. Staff seems to give a thing.

Hi guys,
A bit confused about lounge access policies in GRU. As AAdvantage Platinum (OW Sapphire) flying TAM internationally (should be from terminal 3, right?), what lounge can I possibly use?
Thanks in advance for clarification!
