ORD-PVG in F? How Important is FEBO?

Are meal choices limited or plentiful on AA in F ORD-PVG? In order words, should you care about being in rows 3 or 4 versus 1 or 2?

Ive never had an issue in getting my preferred meal in international F on AA. 1 J is my seat regardless of flight number.

I still follow the rule because in the end it is AA and who knows what the catering will be.

Like HNL I too have never had a problem. 1J is also my preferred seat and I have always gotten my first choice. As I think about it, I don't think I have ever seen the F-cabin FAs doing FEBO...they seem to always start in the front.

I'm currently in 3J, but 1J is available. The rest are middle seats.

Considering that the F meals are basically identical to the J meals, the chances that they'll run out of an F pax's choice are probably pretty low...

Flown ORD-PVG in F several times

I never remember not getting my selection, but for the life of me, I can't rememnber anything about the food. No matter what they call it, it is still airline food. Have a nice meal at a restaurant the night before.

What you get is the typical business class airline food. If food on a plane is really, really important try CX F or one of the japanese or korean airlines.

If you are allergic or dislike certain food why not just order a special meal?

It's not likely you will have a problem getting the airline food of your preference; Shanghai has a lot better dining choices than American Airlines.

Do the coach seats have entertainment systems? Or just shared TV screens?

The 772s that operate this route all feature seat-back PTVs in Y.
