What dont you get?

PLT is 50K miles or points or 60 segments. You hit 2 of 3. You only needed 1.

You did it.

Did you read ever: http://www.aa.com/content/AAdvantage...irements.jhtml

Thanks for the smack upside the head!

No, you don't get extra stickers or eVIPs for double-platinum nor even triple-platinum. :-)

You probably got twisted around with the 60 segments (ie thinking 60K) but alas it is not so.

Did not mean to smack too hard - it is early on a Friday morning!

Besides even if your numbers did not add up and they gave you PLT why would worry about it?

Peace!

You probably do in the recording industry, though.

Cheers.

Shoot for EXP .. come on man! You can do it in the next three months!

And there is no confusion there 100k EQP/EQM or 100 Segs.

Simple round number.

I agree. More than three months to do less than 43k miles - should be a breeze.

Doesn't double-platinum get you EXP?

Agreed. The diff. b/n Plat and EXP is HUGE.
Whether it's HUGE enough to warrant 43K worth of mileage runs if you have no travel planned for the rest of this year? Probably.

why do they send out an unnecessary (according to the "again" you already have status until next year) package if they don't know if you qualify for EXP? If I were them I would only send something to members who achieve a new higher status or after the qualification year is pretty much over...
