Was supposed to be on AA614, a dinner flight, but the ole slAAveship went mechanical. Was automatically rebooked on AA610 due to leave at 7:15PM almost 5 hours away. No thanks. An AAngel in the Terminal A AC got me confirmed on the soon to be boarding AA560. Got to the gate just in time to hear my name for a recheck. Upgrade cleared.

Unfortunately, I was on the wrong end of FEBO and my only choice was the awful chicken adobo sandwich after the asian salmon salad ran out. 3rd time I've been stuck with this one in the last 30 days. Cookie was chocolate chip.

The chicken pot pie-like filling on salty, spongy bread is pretty bad.

Inside, the horror continues

I kind of like the sandwich!

On the other hand, I finally dared to try the AA cheeseburger today, thinking it couldn't possibly be that bad. Boy was I wrong. The meat and cheese were absolutely tasteless. The only edible part of it was the tomato and the pickle slices.

Apple Soy Marinated Beef with Horseradish Cream & Potatoes

This is still the best Appetizer offered on AA. I've seen different versions of it on International "J" flights, and this more recently in "F" on a transcon Flagship route. The flavors and especially the 'pops' of pink peppercorn, are really what makes it.

The pickle slices killed the whole meal!
