Talking Do you fly to dine or to get somewhere?

This may be all that is needed, rather then a full lunch or dinner
Sort of like enjoying a glass of wine or trying to drink the whole bottle on a flight or before take off.

A very silly and non-related comment. Many people go to/from meetings or have short connections, leave very early in the morning or arrive late at night - a decent meal in domestic F has been an amenity where AA was doing better than the competition.

The point of this is the race to the bottom continues. AA is part of it. Nothing special in the air - same as the other guys.

That's also quite the safety issue. He's going to get pretty abused by the beverage cart.

It seems the cutbacks have also hit some mid-con F dinner flights. I was on a dinner flight LAX-DFW this week. There was no shrimp appetizer and the ice cream sludge was replaced with the cheesecake desert used on the shorter dinner flights.

OT, but IMO those old, ugly brown seats are the most comfortable in the fleet! ^

Seriously? Hoping this was a one off catering error and not the elimination of the shrimp appetizer. Yo AA, don't stoop to DL catering levels.

Aren't they, though?

I admit I love the seat width.

Unfortunately, despite aggressive dieting, exercise and other measures, "middle age spread" hits me in the hips like the Army on Omaha Beach on D-Day.

Okay. Showing my age.

Hummus is not a lunch, AA!!!
That's not the new lunch, but the old lunch/snack, and has been the old lunch/snack offering for years.

These 3 videos have been shown on a couple flights I've been on this month... and it don't look like they are cutting back...

New Planes, seat and technology!!! this matters more to me than these awful meals, and looking around the F cabin it looks like many need to skip a meal or two!

Warm mixed nuts should be served on late night "Refreshments" flights?
I flew on AA departing MIA at 9:30PM recently but the nuts weren't served.
I am not sure if it was usual or the new cutback.

Also warm cookies weren't served. I think it is the cutback.

By the way, I flew domestic flight on CO F a few years ago, it was a late night flight.
I was surprised that nothing was served other than beverages.

Which flight? Was it coded as a "Refreshment" flight (vs. nothing/Beverage Service Only)?

AA882 MIA-JFK.
I didn't check if my AA882 was coded as "Refreshment".

But I checked today's AA882 departing MIA at 9:30PM, it was coded as "Refreshment" for F.
I only got 2 small pacs of snack including mostly pretzel with some nuts.
I have never gotten such a small snack pac on AA mainline as far as I remember.

Not sure if AA882 or similar late night flights from MIA to NYC were coded as "Refreshment" or not in the past...
