As American Airlines and US Airways are still operating as distinct airlines, this question is being moved to the appropriate pre-merger airline forum. Much better place to get this answered.
Please note the sticky at the top of the consolidated thread which is titled PLEASE READ ME BEFORE POSTING! Welcome to the New American Airlines Forum!. With all of the changes about, it is important to know where to post, and reading that thread before posting (as the title suggests ) will help get you in the right place.

I don't think we have the same Google, hillrider. I see references to that rule on Google, but I don't see THE rule, which is what OP asked.

LMGTFY indeed.
Best ive been able to find is air canada pdfs...nothing AA.
AA omits it from their online rules (as another poster has noted) Plenty of references to "SEE RULE 130"..but no actual rule.

I know that this is AC rather than AA but this seems to relate to it; assuming that the rule number is standard try http://www.afcanada.ca/rules/Rule130...nstruction.pdf

AA cannot post some of the rules- and thereby be able to say "we posted the rules"- but then have those rules refer to Rule 130 with 130 being unavailable.
(A pet peeve is the 'fare rules' link that works 50% of the time... it says 'call reservations', and they say "look on the website".)
Apparently I need to call CS during biz hours to get a hold of someone...

Actually , I did mean to change my information on where it was from, but looks like I didn't - afcanada.ca is not Air Canada from what I could tell but seems that it could be Air France
What is the actual issue that you have?
