SKYWEST contract terminated 17 Oct '15 - Compass to resume routes

Skywest had their contract terminated. Gone are the dreaded CRJ-200s. Compass airlines will be taking over the routes with a majority of their RJ-175s. SAN will see a decrease in frequency between routes to LAX (down to 5) but higher capacity, overhead bin space (no more gate checking bags) and better interior and quality. Routes change over at SAN starting Oct 5th and to be complete by Oct 17th.

I take it this means that all AE flights out of LAX will now have an F cabin?

Always had amazing service on the Compass operated flights between SFO and LAX. Those new E75s are great, and the FAs are always so friendly….always get a PDB up front. This is amazing news.

While the Canadian Torture Tubes (CRJ200s) will be gone from the SAN-LAX route they are still on the schedule with services to places like FAT, EUG, RNO, SMF . . .

I thought it was Skywest who is currently operating those flights with the CR2s?

And after mid-October, all Skywest flying for AE will be gone.

Compass

I flew the 175s SFO-LAX-IAH and back again this week and they were definitely better. The crews are nicer and the trip much more enjoyable. Got the upgrade on every leg 4 days out.

The CRJs are in the schedule. Not sure if it's a mistake or not.

I too am confused on this. I see that LAX-SAN is indeed switching. But looking into November, I still see a fair amount of SKYW CR2 flying out LAX....

Try checking again after the Saturday night schedule load. A simple press release on contract termination doesn't fulfill all obligations to notify employees (WARN Act), rebuild schedules, etc.
