TSA patrolling Admirals Club

Sitting in the Austin AC and saw something I've never seen before - a TSA agent walking through the club scanning the environment. She didn't stop to check anyone, as far as I could see. I hope this isn't a new trend.

Maybe the staff reported something 'suspicious' and TSA was called in.

Why? The TSA doesn't have the authority to detain anyone. They are mall cops. If it was suspicious the AC would have called the police that have authority over the airport.

The TSO had the look of someone who was just doing a walk through for 'suspicious' items. I agree that if the staff had called about a particular item or person, a LEO would have been present. I know the staff at the club, and they wouldn't report anything unless it was truly something very suspicious.

If the TSO wasn't flying first class, how did they get past the dragons?

Checking to see if there are still yogurt-covered pretzels available, they have started giving out soup.

... as long as they only touch your mixed nuts during the pat down and not the AC, it shouldn't matter.

Purity of Essence.

I'm surprised they let the TSA see the Big Board!
