Nope. A ticket must use miles from a SINGLE account.

Besides, just plain common sense would tell you even you dont want to do a little read up, if what you think is possible, then why would AA has the SHARE/GIFT program that charges for such a transfer, and limit to an annual cap? Nobody would utilize that program if he can do what you hope to be able to do...

And you are still asking question in the wrong thread - there is a STICKY thread for the Newbies to ask for questions on AA everything. Yours falls to that category.

There is also another STICKY about "Read First" on everything about AA that gives handy links to many topics, including the several that would fit your scenario.

Finally, please read the AA website for information.

AA Explorer Award Itinerary - Question

So i have planned a multi-stop itinerary to book with AA advantage miles using their Explorer Award chart.

The problem now is that there could be 2 possible routing for the same amount of miles.

The routing includes a number of spots in europe,
but i wanna delete some and keep the best ones.

They are the following :
ams
ber
vie
ist
cdg
fco
vce

out of these i want to get rid of at-least 3.
confused which are the potentially better places to visit and route than the others, like arranged in an order or priority.

Thanks

A train schedule would be useful for some of these.

Actually I don't want to travel to all these places but just want to know what are the top 3-4 must visit places which I should surely visit while making a rtw trip using the AA Explorer award chart.

Cause I can't use so many stops just for Europe .
Need to know the top best out of these

Like the most direct route I could get was - ist-lhr-cdg-mad
But this leaves italy (FCO) and ber etc
Or could be lhr-cdg-txl-FCO-mad

Just like want the best places leaving the others.

A few months ago I shared my dilemma about my aus-dfw-mex-lim-cuz-(stop for week)-lim-mia-dfw-(stop until May 2012)-bna-jfk-bud-(stop for weekend)-dub-(stop for week)-ord-dfw-aus ticket here:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...-vacation.html

In case this happens again, below is a summary of the resolution.

After numerous phone calls, I learned that AA (and Oneworld friends) would be able to get me to BUD, but they could not get me from BUD to anywhere else. Also, AA said I could not have an open jaw in BUD and then pick back up in DUB because of the "Oneworld Award rules". I was told countless times that my only solution is go to BUD and find my own way home to the US or cancel the ticket and receive a pro rata refund of the points and taxes paid. Yes, a refund which wouldn't even be enough for an economy award to Europe and back.

I simply would not give up, so I first tried getting to Moscow to stick with the Eastern Europe theme but there was no S7 availability and AA would not put me on a non- mile sAAver ticket.

Then after talking with Mrs. Onlybeef42, she reminded me that Ireland was the goal of our trip and that BUD was just a fun addition mostly for the sake of booking a Oneworld award (flying Malev).

So, I then thought, lets try Scotland. Sure enough, there was availability to GLA. I would be using BA (second non-AA carrier) through LHR, so the vacation could be saved. AA checked and booked the ticket. AA waived all change fees AND fuel charges AND taxes (even through LHR) and booked me to GLA. My new flights are DFW-IAD-LHR-GLA / DUB-ORD-DFW-AUS. Yes, they allowed me to drop BNA and JFK connections.

Also, interestingly, the new itinerary allowed an open jaw for GLA / DUB but not BUD / DUB.

I wrote an email about the mess to AA to see if I could get a partial refund due to the shorter distance and the hassle or at least free seat selection on the long BA flight. I was rejected.

Then last week, I learned that the DFW-IAD flight now leaves an hour later making my connection in IAD 20 minutes. So, I called again and moved up the DFW-IAD flight. I again asked for free seat assignments with BA and this time it was granted.

I don't really know the moral of the story, but it looks like bankruptcy allows some extra flexibility.

Most of the Explorer award rules are AA-instituted and maintained. AA can waive them whenever it wants.

But AA cannot waive government-imposed taxes, duties, etc. If you were not required to pay them, you can rest assured that AA is paying them.

Why didn't you just do a DFW -> GLA award followed by a DUB -> AUS award? Both would be "oneworld and other airline" awards.

This is not the forum for advice about the "best" destinations, but even in the appropriate place how do you possibly expect to get good advice with the vague questions you've asked? I'm sure you can find someone who will say each of those destinations is the best of the destinations. You need to do research on your own about what each place has to offer and compare that to your wants and needs as none of us can read your mind.

Well, the OP has somewhat clarified that he/she wants to get best advice on routing for the Explorer award given that he/she wants to travel to all the locations listed. Plus, OP is new to FT, so how about a nice welcome?

If this is a RTW trip, the first question is where will you be arriving (in Europe) from and where will you be going when you leave Europe? Given that you can probably only fly in/out of certain locations, depending on where you're flying from/to, it's difficult to provide much advice.

As to which is "best", that, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. "Best" for what? Culture? History? Food? Getting blind drink in nightclubs? Going trainspotting?

Now that the oneworld awards have been re-branded as Explorer awards, the rules don't appear to be on the AA website. Clicking on the "View complete Explorer Award details and information" link just takes you to a page with oneworld information - the Explorer Award link on that page then just takes you back where you came from (nice work, AA .....). It used to be that these awards were limited (iirc) to 16 legs but I didn't think there was any per-continent limit. Your post seems to imply that there is such a limit?

It would be helpful if you explained exactly what you are trying to do. Where are you starting from? How many miles are you planning on flying? What preliminary sequence of cities do you have? You name seven cities in Europe but then say you "want to get rid of at least 3" - why? Why include them in the first place? Do you know anything about any of these cities or did you just throw darts at a map of Europe? Help us and we can help you....

The Explorer award rules (formerly known as oneworld awards) haven't been on the AA website for a very long time, except in Spanish. The rules have not changed.

Best places for me? IST, AMS, CDG,VCE. Best for you? I have no idea. You could, of course, pick up a guide book of Europe and read about what these destinations offer, see what interests you, and go there. Or you could go places that interest me.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

FlyerTalk is so large it is delineated by fora covering different topics - flying destinations, dining, specialist travel of various kinds, travel tools, auto rental, lodging, etc. Here's a helpful FAQ and a New User Guide to assist with making posts, etc.

This Forum is for American Airlines and AAdvantage, flying AA and its partners, using AA miles. For advice on the "best cities to visit" please read discussions in the Europe and related fora and ask questions there.

We can't possibly guess what "best" means - for some it could mean Amsterdam and Flemish art, for others it might mean Brussels and Ghent / Brugge / Antwerp Flemish art and architecture. For others, it might be opportunities for clubbing, spas, palaces, polar bears, etc. You'll do better sharing your predilections and interests in those fora so other members can help.

Also remember much of Europe is stitched together by high speed rail that enables downtown London to downtown Paris or Brussels travel in under three hours - less time that it takes to get to the airport, process various formalities, wait, board, fly, travel from the airport to downtown - and in greater comfort. (As it happens there is a rail forum...)

Good luck with your trip design; feel free to ask questions about your AAdvantage award flights here.
