I flew 4 return itineraries, all departing from my home ORD. I am surprised, and also very pleased, that all flights were on time, no delays, eventless, from average to good service (no bad service is the point here).
In addition all my requests for upgrades (as well as my companion) were granted. All GA were good, and some even smiled.
(although I am fully aware that by pure luck I missed the few snowstorms in the chicago area that caused caos for some)
I am satisfied that I got the service that I paid for and AA stuck to its AAdvantage program.
I hope that this continues throughout 2009, find some bargains to continue enjoying my passion for travelling and enjoy AA.
