1. My friends' citi AA visa, shows a bonus of miles when he books a ticket on aa.com. My citi AA MC doesn't do that... which cards do it and which dont?
2. I received a call today at home asking me to check in with citi every time i travel. I travel a lot. In four years, this was the first time they did that... what gives...

Both these questions have been answered on these boards dozens of times (actually probably hundreds of times). Take a look.

Yours doesn't, that's the important point. So if you'd like to get that benefit too, the trick would be to learn which cards do. Like all CC promotions and T&C's this benefit is subject to rapid change, but as a general rule the Citi AA business type cards give a double miles (ie 2 miles for $) bonus for payments made to AA. As far as I know the bonus is not for online booking, but rather for spending money on AA, done however you'd like.

I have a Citi Business Visa that I use expressly for this purpose. Book a lot of AA flights or expensive ones and that extra mile per $ can add up quickly.

Some things (people) never change - too bad!
