ARCHIVE: Kudos / Compliments / Recognition for AA Employees (consolidated)
There are many threads on FT from Folks who felt slighted in one way or another. There are many comments to the tune of - " I'll never fly AA again - yada yada yada -- "
Let me give credit and brag on an FA that went aboved and beyond.
I flew SAT-DFW last Fri. A long day at the tail end of a long week. We all know what that's like. I get back to the casa, threw the brief case on the floor with no plans to open it until Sunday night getting ready for Monday.
About 9 pm my cell phone rings. I answer. It's FA - Ms. S...... She's calling me. She found my checkbook in the overhead. When I got done the call, I checked - side pocket was unzipped.
This deserves a special Nod of Recogintion because there is no phone # printed on my checks. That means she took the time to look up phone # on PNR. She promised to mail the checkbook to me.
Sure enough, Monday's mail brought the prodical checkbook.
Ta-Da! Someone on AA that goes the second mile. My guess is there are many of these folks, if we take a moment to spot them - we'd see.
I'm sending her an AA Applause note. And a letter to the appropiate folks.
Maybe there are other stories of good news out there. Let's hear them.
Cheers for now.

Indeed nice to hear. We must recognize that many of the FAs work very hard for us and truly go above and beyond.

Great thread and I'm glad to hear it all worked out well. Too bad we can't get her a raise.

I would send her a starbucks gift card or something more than an applause certificate for that.

It's always a pleasure to hear when AA employees like this FA go above and beyond. Way to go! ^

LovetoFly4Me - good idea -
I went by Starbucks - Gift Card on her way - along with letters to appropiate departments - thanks to those who need to be thanked.
Cheers.

Thank you for sharing this story. Which raises a question I've had and maybe I've missed something but why doesn't this forum have a standing applause type thread like other FT forums have? This type of post and others would be perfect. And honestly maybe I'm a ooey gooey mushy sentimentalist but when I read threads like this on this and other forums I do get a smile especially when news of the world is often bad.

Agreed. We spend so much time talking about what's wrong, it would be nice to acknowledge the good thingsabout AA. After all, if it were all bad, we wouldn't be flying AA.

It's a good think a criminal didn't find it.
They could call you, tell you work for AA, and tell you they will mail it to you.
This delays the reporting of the lost checkbook, credit card, etc
I would irecommend reporting the checks lost asap.
