They must've been out of them when I was there in May. Nothing beats a bowl/cup of hot soup after walking the long trek to the HNL AC!

I was in a supermarket today and they were selling ramen noodles at $0.25 per bowl--so it would cost aa only $6.00 to feed all of the 24 seats in fc; and you supplement this with yellow tail shiraz at $8.99 for 1.5 liters everyone will be in heaven. [PS: IMHO yellow tail shiraz is better wine than some of the stuff aa's been serving lately.]

I keep a cup-a-soup noodles in my carry-on as an emergency meal for flights in coach. I've never had a problem getting a cup of hot water from the FAs.

Cheap, easy, no major odors, lightweight, non-perishable. I wouldn't want to live off these, but it they make for a decent meal for a pinch with an apple snagged from the Admirals Club for dessert.

I was on a flight yesterday , in first , and I got a chicken meal that was very nice , and with a nice glass of red , with some good bread and a great salad .

How much compensation should I expect ? Having read on FT about the new Ramen policy I was quite disappointed.

Good point! I still remember the bottle at that wine bar in Rome that Mrs. DD73 and I got to share with you and your lovely wife-to-be-at-the-time.

Brunello is by far the best wine in my opinion...

Now back to your regularly scheduled Ramen discussion

Given the cost of a bowl of noodles as posted by nrr above, about 15 miles.

Please report your success in the compensation thread.

That just made me laugh out loud. Do those things still exist?

In college, I lived with a couple of roommates of Asian descent and ramen noodles were a frequent lunch for us. One day, I started wondering: if the chicken ramen is made from chickens, and the beef ramen is made from cows, the Oriental flavor ramen is made from...

[quote=Efrem;9824930]Seeing as they already have hot water for tea on the beverage cart, it shouldn't be a problem - unless the idea gets so popular that running back and forth for more hot water is a real hassle. If only one or two people do it, I'd expect you'll be fine.

And remember to bring your own fork or chopsticks. Once the utensils are all handed out, it would be hard to eat noodles. But just in case you have nothing else to use, remember this------>take 2 stir sticks to make chopsticks.

I went to Costco and spotted a cookbook. The title of it was something like 101 ways to cook ramen noodles.

Agreed. I suggest one-cup sake.

Domestic routes = The cheapest "One Cup Ozeki"
International = To deliver a competitive "First Class," experience, they should offer a selection of "premium one-cups":

(Credit goes to Calcifer for the link to the fancy one-cup sake gallery).
