I was in a supermarket today and they were selling ramen noodles at $0.25 per bowl--so it would cost aa only $6.00 to feed all of the 24 seats in fc; and you supplement this with yellow tail shiraz at $8.99 for 1.5 liters everyone will be in heaven. [PS: IMHO yellow tail shiraz is better wine than some of the stuff aa's been serving lately.]
That's actually not a bad idea -- or let PAX bring their own and offer them hot water. Anybody ever try this?
When I fly DL to ATL I'm stuck back in Y . I may try it next time I head down there.
I keep a cup-a-soup noodles in my carry-on as an emergency meal for flights in coach. I've never had a problem getting a cup of hot water from the FAs.
Cheap, easy, no major odors, lightweight, non-perishable. I wouldn't want to live off these, but it they make for a decent meal for a pinch with an apple snagged from the Admirals Club for dessert.
I was on a flight yesterday , in first , and I got a chicken meal that was very nice , and with a nice glass of red , with some good bread and a great salad .
How much compensation should I expect ? Having read on FT about the new Ramen policy I was quite disappointed.

Given the cost of a bowl of noodles as posted by nrr above, about 15 miles.
Please report your success in the compensation thread.

[quote=Efrem;9824930]Seeing as they already have hot water for tea on the beverage cart, it shouldn't be a problem - unless the idea gets so popular that running back and forth for more hot water is a real hassle. If only one or two people do it, I'd expect you'll be fine.

And remember to bring your own fork or chopsticks. Once the utensils are all handed out, it would be hard to eat noodles. But just in case you have nothing else to use, remember this------>take 2 stir sticks to make chopsticks.
