Thanks for the replies. I wasn't doing a whole lot of intelligent thinking that day, but if I'm stupid enough to lose my card again, I'll definitely try calling back.

On my current statement, I received triple miles for an AA ticket purchase. The miles were listed on three separate lines, each equal to the ticket price, as normal or some such (presumably the 1x for all purchases), as category bonus miles (presumably because the purchase was for an AA ticket), and again as promotion bonus miles.
Anyone know what the promotion is? I don't see any mention on the Citi or AA web sites.
I called up to apply for the AAdvantage Amex for the 25K miles after spending $750. I was eventually transferred to an agent who set me up with the promotion, I thought. What I've gotten in the mail is the Platinum World MasterCard. I already have the Gold MasterCard. Nothing in the mailer about how many points I can get once I start using the card. Now I'm confused. Why would I want both a Gold and a Platinum MasterCard? Any ideas?
Also, if I call to transfer the credit line from one card to the new card, will this trigger me not being able to get the miles?

Rep said I could pay $15 to have it in 1-2 days; I declined. I assumed that a credit card company would want the card in the user's hand as quickly as possible so that fees from purchases continue to be accrued.
In 2006 my card number was stolen while I was in Oxford, England, and used to purchase jewelry in Saudi Arabia. Citi overnighted a new card at no charge. They did the same thing about 6 months later when another number theft (this time online) occurred.
Called and verified that the $750 w/in 4 months = 25K AAdvantage points is in fact the offer associated with this MasterCard.
My Citicards.com online account already has a Gold Mastercard associated with it. Does anyone know if it is safe to add this card to that same online account or will that trigger me not getting the 25K because this online account has an already active MC? Anyone with experience of adding on Citibank card to an existing account and still getting the promo?
