AA miles to hilton points

I have read where you can transfer 150,000 aa miles to hilton points with the $25 processing fee, but when I go to the following site https://commerce.points.com/landing/ it will only show 100,000 that can be transfered at one time. Is this the one and only way to do this? Any help would be great! TIA

You have the correct URL - although the site has changed/been updated recently. I suspect that the maximum per transaction is 100,000 miles (=200,000 points) so you would have to you to do two transactions to transfer 150,000 miles.

Something else new:

"Effective April 10, 2008, non-elite status AAdvantage members must have a minimum available mileage balance of 25,000 miles in order to complete a transaction on the redeemAAmiles Web site. There is no minimum mileage balance requirement for AAdvantage Executive PlatinumŽ, AAdvantage PlatinumŽ and AAdvantage GoldŽ members."

The maximum number of AAdvantage miles that may be redeemed for Hilton HHonors points is 150,000 miles per calendar year.

yet, as the op stated, there is no way of actually doing 150k miles in one transaction.

op, try calling - 1-800-882-8880

Just called the 1-800-882-8880 spoke to aa representative who told me it was all handled at the website through points.com and she did not know anything about how many points could be transferd at a time. I was looking to transfer the 150,000 for $25 processing fee. Thanks all for the help.

I've read the rules a couple of times now it doesn't state that you can transfer 150,000 miles for $25.00. Rather it states that "the maximum number of AAdvantage miles that may be redeemed for Hilton HHonors points is 150,000 miles per calendar year." These are two very different things.

It seems clear that the maximum amount of AA miles to Hilton transfer is 100,000. I've done a LOT of AA/Hilton transfers and it sounds to me like you are going to have to do two transfers for a total of $50.00 if you want 300,000 points - which is still a very good deal.

What about the other direction. How many HH points can you transfer to the AA program.

it would be cheaper to buy 2k aa miles.

for example:

10k hhonors point will get you a room at hampton inn. let's say the room is ~$-80-100 per night.

the same 10k hhonors points will get you 1.5k aa miles.

40k hhonor points will get you a very nice room at some of the best conrads or hiltons anywhere in the world. it could be worth anywhere between $300-500 per night.

the same 40k hhonor points will get you 6k aa miles.

2k aa miles will cost you about $80 or 6k aa miles will cost about $175.

i will say it again, why? it's one of the worst ways to use your hhonors points.

I just transferred 1,500,000 hilton points to AA four weeks ago. I did it on-line at 100,000 (for 15,000 AA points) a pop to avoid the $25 transaction fee. The time it look to post was 3-4 days. They say it could take up to 30 days though.

Not to even mention the 6 night awards at 150K or 175K points.

The Venice Hilton is 499EU/night (about $800.00US) or 40K points. I'm w/Nacirema, HH points to AA miles is not a good deal.

In January I transferred 150k AA to HH for in one transaction for $25.00. This was before the points.com link changed.
