Why dont you check the site first before posting IRREVALENT INFORMATION the second time, even after UA Fan clarified what he referred to is the current notice shown on AA site, not the old information you keep talking about - Is it too much for you to just check the site before posting from your memory?

AA miles to Hilton points

I understand that the limit is 150,000 points from ones AA account to HHonors and that you can transfer from another persons aa account.
But can both my husband and I BOTH transfer 150,000 from our individual aa accounts into his hhonors account within same year? Have searched but not found this answer yet.

Mileage level changes up on aa.com

There is a pop-up window for the mileage level changes - looks like the 1 AA miles to 2 HHonor points remains the same, except the $30 fee vs $25 in the past, as the changes do not affect HHonor points.

Very sizable increases in the Marriott certificates and car rental certificates. Even at the old levels, they are not the good value anyway. I wonder who would use such certs redemption even s/he has gazillions miles?

Where did you find it online? The AA page says to call/email Hilton, and I can't find the link on Hilton for an online form. Thanks!

I believe the limit is per AA account, not per HH account, so Both you and your husband have each a 150K allowance. If not just open an 2nd HH account and then merge them.

Generally speaking, is AA -> HH a good use of miles? I have 20k, 20k, and 50k AA miles (in 3 separate accounts), so this would become 180k HH points for a $90 fee.

I'm not familiar enough with either program to get a good sense of utility or value. It seems like 180k HH would get a 6 day "GLON2" award = 6 nights at a Cat 6 which I imagine is worth about $2000. Since the AA miles are split up into 3 different owners, I see no way to get $2000 in value from them. Any thoughts?

You must have elite status w/Hilton to redeem a GLON award. If you are eligible for a GLON, they can be worth well over 2,000.00 - it all depends on the property.

My HH elite status is about to expire. Can I redeem before then even if the actual stay is after I lose it?

I assume you could redeem before your status expires but I don't know if once the status expires if your award would be cancelled or something - probably someone on the HHonors forum would know.

As has already been mentioned earlier in this thread, you will not be able to transfer the accounts that have less than 25,000 miles into a Hilton account, unless said accounts have AA status. As you don't list AA status in your profile, I wouldn't count on actually being able to successfully complete these transfers, given the new policy.

right you are on both counts, and thanks for pointing it out. I do have HH Silver status, however, so I should be eligible for a GLON2 award (I know this is best left to the HH forum).

Guess the plan would be to ramp up the AA miles to 25k minimum per account (probably with a Citi AA card or two or a flight). Thanks for the feedback

AA miles -> HHonors points transfer: quick question

Can I transfer miles from my AA account to somebody else's HH account? Are there any restrictions in that regard? (Beside the obvious ones like $30 admin transaction fee per transfer.)

Yes you can. It's been mentioned multiple times in this thread already. For example see luckycoins post below. I expect the same restrictions apply. A given AA member has a 150,000 mile to HH point limit, regardless of where they go to. Would have to confirm that as it's just my impression from reading this thread in its entirety.
