Well, DealFinder just popped up with some unpleasant news.
"Starting in April, American Airlines will no longer offer an online booking bonus for travel booked on AA.com. The current bonus will be honored for all bookings made on or before March 31, 2008, regardless of travel dates.:
Well, AA has a better search engine. Search for booking bonus did not bring up that thread.
I tried both "booking bonus" and "online bonus" and neither brought up the thread I already knew was there. I'd been having good luck with the IB search engine...but this is truly lame.

Cheers.
Truly. Before your post I assumed one needed over 10,000 posts or wizard status to be able to search effectively. It's obvious slapping newbies upside the head is ineffective..
But this thread is not so much about the booking bonus going away as reported in other threads, but about AA's DealFinder finally reporting it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Is there a help file somewhere about how to use the IB search? I think trying a Google search would be more productive although counter-intuitive.
You are all probably clamoring for more dines at Rewards Network restaurants to get the 250 mile bonus but this is no big deal? I find it ironic. It is expected but it is surprising to see a simple shrug.
Check the top of the Unofficial Users' Guide for at least three ways to search... The IB Beta we are stuck with (the previous Advanced Search was responsible for bringing the Board to its knees, with the number of people who apparently listened to us "use Search!" advocates,) Google and Boardtracker (with links as appropriate.)
The tech gurus are working on restoring a better search function - but FT is one of the larger BBS using VBulletin software. Without IB and FT tech folks, we would have NO internal search at all.

Very well put! And they were very successful with it.
I'll miss the approx 14K extra miles from last year but I suppose I'll live

AA.com Ends Online Booking Bonus
Probably old news by now, It's hard to keep up with this great group of AA Fans.
Just thought I would drop this info I saw posted on AA.com this morning.
Starting in April, American Airlines will no longer offer an online booking bonus for travel booked on AA.com. The current bonus will be honored for all bookings made on or before March 31, 2008, regardless of travel dates.
Apparently, our friends south of the border can still get the booking bonus starting 01 April, at least for a limited time...
