Actually there was a lifetime AAirpass available from Neiman Marcus a few years ago. I believe the cost was $3 million. Of course with fuel and surcharges these days I'm sure the lifetime price would be a little more now.

I learned (the hard way) that the definition of life-time regarding Frequent-Flier and Frequent -guest programs is: the life-time of the program (and not my own life-time).

Recent examples: Termination of HHonors Senior-, and UA Mileage Plus Silver Wings life time programs ...
