Last night in the D AC. One drink chit and they were out of Sam Adams. I wonder if AA has a long term contract with the supplier of those salty snacks, like a 30 year contract...

La Careta stands for facemask in Spanish... you might want to pick up one at the Britto (a neo-pop Brazilian artist) store in D.
La Caretta (as I've seen it spelled in FT) is probably a loggerhead turtle - which you will find in Biscayne Bay, but you'll need more than the 3 hr layover
Sorry to take so long to post this. Actually your translation suffers slightly.
Carreta means oxcart. As evidence of the understanding of La Carretta's owners, in front of the SW 8th Street location you'll see a large wagon wheel, a slightly ostentatious reminder of the origin.
It is indeed revered among Cuban food aficionados.
Nothing to "move" .. the currently mothballed "old A" club will be reopened.
mike
I've been told the "old A" club will also include the "new FL" similar to JFK. No clue as to timing....like the MIA train system covering the "new D" terminal.
General discussion is still welcome here, and there may be some further consolidation of an unknown kind in the future after moderator discussion, particularly given MIA is still undergoing some changes. (Members can chime in with suggestions or recommendations via a PM or an "RBP".)

I'm at the front desk today at the MIA D AC waiting for a service assistant to escort me to the showers. In comes three Miami Dade Police Officers with side arms and looking quite serious. So I am thinking, oh good going to see some drama (like seeing a member/visitor dragged out of the place in handcuffs).
Instead, I see the three officers start to scrarf down a batch of cookies and guzzle ice tea. Now all three without a doubt needed a better diet than AC cookies. Now I feel so much safer in Miami.
You know that old joke when you see a police car with sirens and its like they must be on the way to Dunkin Donuts.
I'm an AA PLT taking an AA-coded coded LAN flight from MIA-SCL tonight. Checked in at the Club America at concourse J, and was told - lo and behold - they no longer serve LAN passengers. Apparently the Delta Sky Club between concourses H and J has now assumed that role. The Sky Club reception agent was skeptical that I could get in as an AA PLT, but he checked with a colleague who confirmed it. So there you go - AA elites traveling on LAN through MIA can use the Delta lounge Feel free to cite this thread if the DL gatekeepers give you any static. I'm sure it'll hold all the weight of "But my friend's cousin's niece got in as an AA PLT!!!"
Any date for when Councourse E will shut down. I had a very tight connection last night from D7 to E10 (for some reason AA had the one lone late flight going out of E, and Gate 10 at that) and even with the new Airtran I barely made it.
Am currently in the MIA FL. It, and the 'E' AC, will close permanently today at noon. The new AC in the "low D" area opens tomorrow at 05:00.
How disturbing that the EXP agent with whom I just spoke confirmed that the AC in E was still open. I told her that I had heard that the AC in E had closed and another AC near D15 had opened in at the end of September, but she insisted that she had just spoken with the AC in E...
Left the AC early. I am EXP with 100k+ miles a year I know what I am doing. AC at gate D15 should be close to gate E8 instead of the AC at D30 right?
Thanks to noisy kids in AC made my flight
You wrote "Sitting in the one at E15", which is why I was asking if you actually meant the "Sitting in the [Admirals Club] at [D15]", that's all. What does the new D15 club look like? Any other info other than the noisy kids?
