By my account, NW, YX, and BA all have 3-year expiration policies. Perhaps you are writing all of these airlines off because NW is getting taken over by DL, YX is not one of the top 6 airlines, and BA is foreign; but I think you may be overstating your case to say that "there is no 3 years program since several years ago."
Exactly the reasons you cited. I try to be relevant to OP's predicament, and to the general cases.
Yes, I am writing NW off as they will fold into DL. YX is not the major, and certainly not an airline someone would accumulate miles for his dream trip. For the same reason I dont list WN in the 2 year program with AS. Who would accumulate WN credits for their dream trip? The emphasis is on the "dream trip" - because that is why the OP cried Uncle.
BA is foreign, not applicable to many here. Besides, the new no fee BA Executive membership will deactivate your account if there is no qualifying activity within 2 years, not 3 year.
Do I have any recourse if American deletes my mileage points?
My wife and I have been collecting mileage points on American Airlines, waiting for that special trip to come along and, with more than 350,000 miles saved, we finally tried to redeem them only to discover that they'd all been canceled out as of June 29th, 2009! We had no idea there was a time limit. I there anything that we can do? Help!!

Now that your post has been moved over to the AA Forum, I'd suggest checking out the FAQ at the top of this page, with provides some suggestions on how to get your miles back, specifically this entry:

Don't you receive account updates from AA?
I would suggest that you sign up for email account updates, as apparently you and your spouse have trouble receiving snail mail.
It is really up to you to keep track of the expiration dates. When you last looked at your balances that showed 350K miles, the same page showed the expiration date.
AA has ways to get them back, as indicated by another response. Additionally, the last time I checked, this information was also on aa.com.
Seriously, it's 350K miles. For most people, that value deserves keeping track of the expiration dates.

A useful FT tool would be a variation/subset of subscribing to a thread. One that would only kick in when the OP posted again. It would save a lot of trouble in the many posts like this where without further input from the OP there ara a lot of tires spinning.
Programs: AA, Delta, NWA, UA & thanks to FT for my HHonors Gold!

The mods did leave the thread pointer in MilesBuzz! Forum, so if the OP does return and read the replies, he won't be lost at sea. He can find his thread in both MilesBuzz! and AA Forums now.
So far, there are quite a few good advice and pointers in this thread. Some may be off mark. But I don't think anybody had posted anything to scare this newbie off.
If it were me who'd allowed 350K miles expired, I would make sure to read every piece of useful info and do my best to get my miles back. I do hope OP will treasure these FT wisdom and gain the best from it.

When OP goes to Miles Buzz, he will see the Moved mark in front of his own thread. When he access the thread, he would be reading right HERE.

The OP obviously is conerned enough to post for help, logically he would keenly read up the replies - Isn't it the purpose he posted for help?
He has all info he needed on how to reinstate his miles. It is up to him to post back for the update - Although I would think it is a common courtesy for posters who start a thread to at least post back for a closure of the thread, regardless the outcome.
tangyrasberry's thread has now been merged into the consolidated thread on this topic, with a temporary redirect left in the AA forum. I will also PM the member so they can find this part of the thread easily should they return in the future. That's about all we can do!
