Hello,
I'm new to this forum and searched the threads to see if I could find the answers but I didn't find anything yet. Can anyone tell me about how many total members AAdvantage there are? How many gold level, platinum and exec platinum members are there?
Thank you in advance,
Styles
I think you need to write a request to AA, G. Arprey. They are the only ones with the accurate info.
I forgot to add, include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
There are 40,367 EXP; 103,852 PLT; and 243,840 GLD as of yesterday. As of next Monday you can add 534, 1593, and 2547 to the above respectively. On any given JFK-SFO flight, there are exactly 15.34 EXP passengers. I can sell you more fully accurate, internal, proprietary marketing information from any airline if you like.

I forgot to advise you altaskier, that I retired again recently and will revert back to permanent PLT at the end of this year, so add one PLT & deduct one EXP when you totalize next month!
That means one out of 15-20 passengers on a JFK-SFO flight is an EXP! That ratio does not even include their traveling companions! That is probably why there is a CK level.

Welcome to Flyertalk.
I can answer your first question. There are more than 56 million total AAdvantage members, as of November 16, 2007, according to AA:
Programs: AA EXP 1.8MM, HH Gold, SPG Gold, Traveler's Aid JFK Volunteer
Posts: 5,521
The only thing that AA publishes officially on this topic is as follows:
The AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum and Gold programmes are exclusive AAdvantage memberships designed to reward our most loyal customers. Platinum members are the top 1 percent of our most frequent fliers. Gold members are the top 2-3 percent.
AA can focus on 1%, instead of 10%, of the passengers on these flights.
I'd say that AA focuses on all elite members, although not to the same degree, of course. In the case of irrops, or meet-and-greet, it would be advantageous to be CK in this case. In all other situations, though, it would seem to be a minimal benefit, from what I gather here on FT.
