IME the FTD.com miles have posted in 1-3 days the last few times I've done it. Know anyone that needs flowers? YMMV on this of course.

Furthermore, you don't necessarily get 10 miles per dollar on AA Dining right off the bat. You first start off as 3 miles per dollar and once you dine 12 times, then you get 5+5.

If cost is an issue to you, then FTD is doing a 20 mile per dollar till the end of June: http://www.aa.com/apps/netSAAver/Vie...omotionContent

You might want to look at that. $32 of purchases should give you the miles you need.

You can get some ideas here:
http://www.freefrequentflyermiles.com/index.htm

Some of them are slow in posting to the account, though. Lending Tree, for example, is 1,000 miles for applying for a loan, but takes a month to post - which is probably too long for you. FTD is great since it's 20 miles per dollar, but my last purchase also took close to a month.

If you're in a hurry, I'd suggest a quick MR. Buying the miles will cost you $57.50. Can you find a destination you can get to for under $100? If so, depending on how much you need the EQPs, the MR might be a better choice than buying the points, but that's always an option, too.

Good luck.

just a friendly reminder that we do have a wiki article with a bunch of links to earn miles without flying:

http://flyerguide.com/wiki/index.php...leage_%28AA%29

Please feel free to add to the article so that we maintain a central up-to-date repository.

Thanks for the kind reminder, RatherBeSailing - you and others have put in lots of time and effort into a really useful and serviceable AA Wiki!

Thanks! And thanks to everyone who's contributed to the wiki. Hopefully one day it'll be the one-stop shop to answer the majority of questions that people have.

Aadvantageshopping.com

Shop thru Aadvantageshopping.com, purchase gift card from Kohl's or Kmart. Under restrictions: "none" so I'm assuming gift card purchases are eligible. Just bought one for $10 so I'll see. Not sure how long transactions take to post, you can request email notification of posting.

These transactions can take as long as two months to post.

Have you joined NetFlix? If not, go ahead and sign up for 1500 mi.

I remember when I joined, they posted the very next day. And if you don't like it, cancel after the miles posts!

Pay a visit to the mileage run forum.

Read the stickies.

Do your research.

Then (and only then) post if you still have questions.
